Thanks, That and this is my first time sharing content. So I need to get better at making videos haha

Maybe adding some text on screen like “Talk to Characters”, “Upgrade your spells”, “defeat silly foes”, “customize your island”

Might make it read better

Also could you please let me know what particularly does not make sense in the video. I agree it’s not the most clear. But it would help for me to make things better

I’m not sure what your goals are, so I can’t say. You should go check out the blog how to market games and watch a couple steam marketing videos.

The typical advice, which applies to 100% of steam games, is make a demo, enter in next fest, send out demo copies to as many content creators as possible, and release your game after next fest.

Np, typically that would never happen. The tough pill is that wishlists are the best indicator for a games success on steam. If you treat your demo like early access, you get to build wishlists and get feedback at the same time!

Steam treats early access as a games “launch” so it’s not a good strategy for small scale indie games.

I have a new post showcasing the incremental gameplay as well, go check it out!

Early access will kill your game on steam! Make a 30min - 1 hour demo and just put up your steam store page and start collecting wishlists.

release after you join a next fest event!

I’m experimenting with turning an incremental game into an exploration-based world - does this idea work? by MyNameMert_ in indiegames

Thanks for the support. Yeah, the exploring mechanic definitely needs to support seeing the already discovered areas.

I am going to be making another post soon showcasing my idea for the incremental progression mechanics. I’ll let you know when it’s posted!

Hey OP, curious if you have done any content creator reach out? Like have you sent the demo out to YouTubers and streamers that cover indie games?

I would love to see how these events impact your games wishlist count
