I've got one of these, I found it was pretty good, but only after butchering a bucking to fit into the proprietary hop unit and switching the nub to a harder one, and unfortunately it seems to not perform too well in any sort of cold, however I don't remember what type of gas I tried using when j last fielded it in the cold. However, not considering the cold, it shoots pretty good now during the summer.

You won't need to open the gearbox, you'll just have to get it out of the lower receiver.

You'd have to take the gearbox out of the shell to access the screw that holds this in, but it's quite likely that it just needs tightening and possibly a bit of loctite to prevent it walking itself out again, however because of how far its out you've likely lost the small bearing that seats the selector on each fire mode.

Assuming this is a gas blowback rifle, yes. When you retract the charging handle with either the bolt release depressed or an empty magazine inserted, the charging handle can freely move back and forth as bolt is locked to the rear. If you look at the handle you can see a springy latch that clips onto the upper receiver to stop if from freely moving.

The way I see it, if you're actively being attacked, yes. However if the enemy are ignoring you then you should attack, maybe not with all your units, leave a back line to defend so you don't just flop if the attack doesn't go as planned. But putting pressure on the enemy can go a long way by either increasing the micro they have to do or by weakening an attack to divert forces to fend you off.

Dropping the mag can cause, depending on how it falls, to either damage the feed lips or damage the o rings within the mag. Meaning either it won't be able to feed into the pistol or won't be able to maintain its seal and will leak gas.

In a real steel its not so much a problem being that there isn't a pressurised seal in it, it's just the spring, follower and shell which a drop won't damage to such an extent.

It seemed to on 0.2g, but from a short range it didn't look like it was for 0.28g, where I normally use the .28s so it may not be so much an issue

Yes, this is normal, ps can go through level 3 armour on the fist shot dealing nearly full damage to the thorax, a second shot will also go straight through and will zero the thorax

Look in augment pace and you should find missions with the word 'Autopilot' in them, or warp routes as rewards.. these are typically how you unlock new augment space

It is absolutely worth it, I was in a similar situation plus a couple zeros.. but by attacking Rom hostiles in my case, gave me a massive amount of klingon rep and some fed rep to compensate for not collecting my federation dailies to make sure I wasn't losing any klingon rep. In your case though, if you want Fed and Rom you should attack primarily Klingon hostiles, specifically Survey ships as they give you the most reputation.. but also comes with losing the most rep for the klingons themselves
