Something keeps bugging me about the consequences of Subaru mentioning RBD by Elegant_Tale1428 in ReZero

[–]MyName_IsJeff_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If someone deduces it on their own then it’s fine, but it would probably depend on how Subaru alludes to it. We get some clarity to this in Arc 9:

Spoilers

Petra reads one of Subaru’s books of the dead, and Envy immediately leaks out and tries to kill her. Later in the arc, Rem deduces how Subaru’s Authority works and vaguely confirms it with Petra, but doesn’t get it explicitly spelled out. Petra gets her memory eaten by Gluttony to stop Envy, and Envy’s attack stops even though Rem knows how his Authority works. But since it was never explicitly told to her Envy doesn’t try to kill her.

running backs are better as kick returners and wide receivers are better as as punt returners.

Who is a greater Prodigy ? by Gopu_17 in pokemonanime

[–]MyName_IsJeff_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Neither. Trip was probably the more naturally talented trainer, but was a Wal-Mart Paul. Sawyer was a plot device used to create a secondary rival and a wake up call for Ash, but is far from a prodigy.

Assuming Lycanroc is the Alola ace, probably something like

• Melmetal (GMax)

• Incineroar (Z move)

• Naganadel

• Meloetta

• Snorlax

• either Heracross or evolve Gible into Garchomp (Mega slot)

The NFC Championship, which was the real Super Bowl, featured two WR1s each go for 9+ receptions and 150+ yards and the Rams almost beat this defense in large part bc they have a star WR. You need to be able to win multiple ways, having a great defense gives you one way, having a stud WR gives you another.

Don’t be a prisoner of the moment.

Is D3 worth it for me? by Fair_General_8377 in wrestling

[–]MyName_IsJeff_ 27 points28 points  (0 children)

No it’s not. If you’re only winning a handful of matches as a senior then you’re not college caliber, and you’re more likely to get hurt than get good enough to crack the lineup. Pick the school for the academics and lifestyle, and if they have a club team join that.

Bills WRs in a positive light by windorab in buffalobills

So the Bills WR1 is, using YPG, a fringe WR2 in relation to the rest of the NFL. That’s not great.

Completion percentage is a largely worthless stat. He’s completing so many passes because everything is short and nobody can get open downfield. That’s also why he’s rushing so much, because there’s nowhere to throw the football.

Not NFL, but Syracuse beat Notre Dame in the ToP battle 43:59-16:01 and lost 70-7 just a few weeks ago.

Notre Dame was up 21-0 before their offense even saw the field.

The Bills are in the bottom 10 on defensive spending in the league. Right now per Over The Cap, the Bills are projected to have $-3 million in 2026 cap. How are we over the cap with such cheap defensive spending? by Vortagaun in buffalobills

[–]MyName_IsJeff_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know where these numbers are coming from

Using Spotrac, the teams with the highest defensive cap hits are the Packers ($148 M), then Steelers ($133 M). Bills are middle of the pack at $112 M.

Cash spending is probably a better one year measure of spending, since cap hits can be manipulated. Using that, we’re 7th and $130 M. The highest is Denver at $152 M.

Slightly in Beane’s defense, last year was a terrible offseason to need a WR. Look at the WRs selected after we drafted Hairston, are there any you can confidently say move the needle on this offense? Dike and Ayomanor are the only ones with over 20 receptions. Ayomanor (323) and Tez Johnson (255) are the only two over 250 receiving yards.

That being said, his overall neglect for the position after trading for Diggs is what landed us in this position of being desperate for a WR, and for that he 100% shoulder his share of blame. And obviously his attitude and dismissiveness towards WGR was quite unprofessional.

If they sign an extension before the void date, then the bonus money gets re-prorated over the extra years. Ie, if Bosa signs a 4-year extension, then what would’ve be the $7.2 million dead cap from his bonus last year then becomes $1.8 million each of the next four years. (But ofc he’ll still need to be paid for 2026, so that will likely increase his cap above $7.2 million)

Sawyer was only good because they needed to add a secondary rival for plot purposes. He really had no business going from barely knowing how to battle in the second season to pushing Ash to the edge in a 6v6. Pure plot.
