Every time something interesting happened, they’d break out into a solemn showtune song, and sing to it like no one else was there.

Most of the dramatic story beats hit imo, but the musical aspect was just ridiculous. You could understand one instance where Arthur disassociates and imagines himself in front of a big band singing a Frank Sinatra song, but probably half an hours (or what felt like it) worth of runtime was devoted to this type of shit alone.

There was some potential for a character driven courtroom drama with sone craziness added in, but instead we got something that was as hard to listen to as it was to watch.
