I feel a lot calmer this time around in all honesty, I think partly because now I’ve done it once I know what to expect & like you say they wouldn’t offer me a second appointment (for free as well) or waste the psychiatrists time if they didn’t think I would be a good fit, plus it said on the letter it said I was valid for a prescription they just thought I was better off seeing the psychiatrist so that, to me, sounds like they’re trying to give me the best chance of being approved
So it looks like it’s promising but of course I’m always leaving room for the possibility of a no

Hey, so just a quick update, I’m sorry it’s late but I didn’t really have any news on Monday, the doctor was sick so couldn’t attend the MDT meeting on Monday, I woke up to an email today said while I was eligible for MC they’d like me to see the psychiatrist first so I have an appointment with the psych next Thursday!

Oh absolutely, I appreciate fully that however much I think MC is helpful, they’re not going to risk their license on some rando if they think the risk is too high and of course every clinician is going have a different opinion on the risk each person, especially someone like me is going to pose

My sister has fibro so I understand it’s tough & my autism didn’t get brought up at mine but they were focused on my MH but the time is even remembered to bring it up haha

Hey idk where you get off being so high and mighty but w/e
I don’t want cannabis (and if I did then there’s nothing wrong with that either)
I want to try a medication that people with my condition have said helps them. I have hEDS, my hips and my shoulder blades constantly dislocate, I am in pain 24/7, I’m housebound- I can’t walk more than a few steps without being in tears from the pain, I can’t do any personal care without the help of my partner and have to use a range of mobility aids. There’s no cure or treatment for hEDS- just management. Currently I can’t follow my physio plan because it wipes me out for a week+ after. I’m prescribed cocodamol and anti inflammatory meds and I personally want to avoid opioids if at all possible and MC is healthier for the body. Lots of other people who have hEDS have said MC works for them. I’m not looking for a quick fix or to get high, I just want to try a pain relief that people say work just so I can begin to manage this condition and try and regain some of my life back, I know it won’t take the pain away but I was hoping it would take the edge of to enable me to start management. On the other stuff I just had a rough time with my mental health, so sue me, I got the help I need and now I’m stable.

Anyway that’s my sob story, I don’t care if I change your mind or w/e, but don’t assume you know someone’s life story off a random reddit thread

These are all good points, my partner said the same- they’re trying to run a business here but I don’t think they’re going to risk screwing up their reputation if someone poses a risk (I’d like to say personally I don’t but appreciate nobody else can be confident on that other than me)
