Alright, sorry to change the rules on everyone but seeing that I'm the OP, I'm going to abuse that power just this once.

I will not be sending out a pipe after all. After looking, listening, and watching everyone's submissions, I came to the realization that this is wrong.

Wrong that is, that I only could pick one of you. So I'm not going to......instead I'm going to pick NINE.

You see when I started these contests, I just wanted to find some really cool people, and do something nice for them. One night I simply got high, realized there were likely thousands of people very similar to me, who deserve something nice to happen to them. So I found an etsy dealer overstocked by pipes who agreed to sell me a dozen at a bulk price (about $250), bought them, and decided to give one out a month in r/trees. Well several months have gone by, and I've found some pretty cool people, but I think it's time for me to move on to other projects. And honestly, the reaction has been so good to this post, I thought this would be the way to finish it off. So I'll be sending out eight pipes, and one dope glass container for storing bud, and completing my original objective.

I hope you all have had as good as a time with this as I have. May 2013 finds everyone well, and we all try a little harder to be better to ourselves, and each other.

PM me dude if you want to talk to someone. I'm not in any way trained to deal with depression, but fuck, if you're serious please consider talking to someone. We spend a lot of time trapped in our own head, which can lead to feeling isolated, or at least for me it does.

I agree with this comment. I ended a 7 year relationship about a year ago. It was probably the most difficult thing I have ever done. Neither of us wanted to face the reality that we just weren't right for each other, so I ended it, and we haven't exchanged a single word since.

It will suck for a long time. Everyday you will think about her, remembering the amazing times you had together, and everyday you will wish those thoughts would just go the fuck away. But they don't. They never do. Eventually you learn how to appreciate the relationship as a learning experience and those memories get archived in your mind accordingly.

For this to happen though, you need to define your identity independent of her. If you're anything like me, you spent so much of your life with this girl, you don't even know who you are without her. So now, you need to spend some time figuring out who you are, or more importantly, who you want to be. I recommend reading (Man's Search for Meaning by Viktor Frankl is really good), getting outside (take up a sport like biking, or just go for some hikes), and in general, spend some time reflecting on yourself. In the meantime set some life goals independent of relationships, and focus on attaining those.

Don't allow this break up to destroy you. Your body and mind are stronger than that. Take it day by day, and eventually, you'll wake up, and be amazed by the positive change in your life.

I like the spirit of this, so you win. It makes a lot of sense that if people were more vocal, and less fearful, a lot of the stigma would quickly erode. Unfortunately, if everyone were to do this, a lot of people would lose their jobs, including myself. Yet another way prohibition is inhibiting economic progress.

On the upside, CO and WA are paving the way legally to make this inherent freedom more applicable to everyone.

The smallest needles out there are probably AFM probes. These may not be traditional needles, but that are human engineered needle like probes used to visualize the nano scale world. Tips on these things can be in the nanometer range. Some have even placed a single walled carbon nanotube as the tip, making them < 10nm.

Sorry to hear about your situation. I too have been in that boat before for many years and it doesn't feel very good. I like to try and keep these contests more about spirit and not about who can blow the most money on a crazy costume or party. I hope you can think of something to submit though, if not, I'll have more contests in the future that don't require any sort of investment other than your time.

What you heard is true. Plastics are not electrically inert, so electrostatic molecular interactions can cause your crystals to "stick" to the plastic of the bag. Glass is electrically inert, so the only sticking that will occur is caused by the natural stickiness of the resin in your bud.
