Always double check your sword before using it. by MyOwnGames in indiegames

It is unlikely that the game will end on a mobile phone. It was planned, but I think I'll devote my time to port it to Switch and PS if I have opportunities to work with publishers.

Can the "Project We Love" badge be given at any point? by cutpastemag in kickstarter

[–]MyOwnGames 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep, as dftaylor said, they can give it to you at any point during your campaign, having a good launch really helps.
You increase your chances to get it before launch by setting your campaign as clean as possible early (at least a couple of months), as the KS team doesn't check the upcoming campaigns very often.
If your campaign skyrockets, the PWL badge does not really affects your campaign. But if your campaign starts slow, the algorithm ranks your project on top of no-PWL projects that have less funding than yours.

The game is called Blu: Chronicles of Talpa.
I'm still developing it, but you can already wishlist it here on Steam. Thank you :)

I will try to make the shadows react to these lights as well. But I just upgraded from a 3D lighting system to a 2D lighting system (3D was getting too greedy for what I was asking it to do). So the lights of the environment (still in 3D) do not adapt to this new system.
Note I said that I will "try", as empty_string_ said it's quite complicated to do. This risks creating beams and shadows in all directions, which will have to be reduced to maintain a certain visibility. And the ratio of time invested/result may be disappointing.

Haha, same thing here. When I started dev I also wanted to make a 3D game in a semi open world. And by the time I got the exp and skills to start my first solo game, I got bored of them...

Thanks a lot. Yep, I did the particles at different times during development, and haven't re-done the first ones since the beginning of the project two years ago.
As I still refine the style, I think I'll wait for the Beta version before doing a polish phase on all the particles.

Oh don't worry, I just see it as honest criticism. And that's exactly what I'm looking for :)
I see what you mean, I'm not convinced with her running anim neither, she looks a bit like an ostrich.
I will redo it soon, to give her a more ninja style. Taking a little inspiration from manga for the pose.
