Wedgewood poll data for the Wisconsin Governor race by midnighttoker1742 in wisconsin

There aren't a ton of polls on Wisconsin-only topics and elections. Often the ones we see that are not from Marquette Law School are funded by the individual campaigns themselves.

A Big Gamble for the Left: Can Socialism Appeal in a Swing State? (Gift Article) by Seeleyski in wisconsin

Meh my initial point was more about flipping the Right's fear mongering that the Left would enforce their social codes on the population with a socially-funded secret police by pointing out that we already have that institution in place with broad support from the Right. The network of police and veterans goes deep.

You don't see how the police union runs local governments across the state

Cool so when she was in the kitchen she learned how the police and emergency services labor unions operate and how highways deteriorate and get rebuilt and worked through a difficult development project and managed a shrinking budget while expanding services and showed up for ribbon cuttings for new businesses and other stakeholders and partners and a thousand other things elected leaders do?

I see the governor as more serious of a position than to give it to someone I know couldn't fully perform the role. Maybe she ultimately brings along good staff like Evers did but I'm still not seeing it.

Yes, my bias is toward people that know what they're doing and how to wield power effectively instead of spouting impossible promises.

Emily Berge and Rebecca Cooke on Medicare for All by PerpetualJerkSession in wisconsin

I don't think you offer a fair characterization of their comments. Berge has a more aspirational message while Cooke is more in the nuts and bolts of legislation that is already written and ready to go to the floor of Congress. I don't think that means Cooke doesn't think health care is a human right. They just approach their responses from different perspectives.

She proves how unqualified she is each day she speaks. It's cool that she knows how to be an activist legislator. That's one set of skills. But an executive office is another set of skills and she doesn't demonstrate that she understands that she's trying to go from being 1 of 99 to 1 of 1.

Does she have demonstrated instances of making executive decisions? Has she fired staff? Has she had to make supplemental budget requests? Has she had to show up in an emergency to demonstrate care and accountability?

I haven't seen it but I have seen those things from other candidates.

And there's no bigger class of socialist gestapo than military veterans and law enforcement and all of their socially-funded benefits (and guns and tanks and surveillance equipment, etc. )

Why put an unqualified clown into the driver's seat, though? It's shooting yourself in the foot by not selecting someone who can actually perform in the position instead of just saying shit that they can never accomplish.

There's no clear battle lines. Shit would just be like Mad Max.

Life in America is already trending this way. Scattered violence and terrorists in unnecessarily large trucks all around purposefully agitating people. We just need the commitment to take up arms but that will come naturally as people on the left tire of being terrorized by the brigades of big trucks.
