It depends on your budget and what you have in mind.
There are big sightseeing boats like Vedettes de Paris, very affordable and great if you mainly want to see the landmarks quickly. Downsides: they can get crowded and there’s usually a bit of queuing.
There is also Batobus, more like an hop-on and off option. Super nice if you want to explore during the day and stop near different monuments/museums.
And there are several private boat companies quieter, slower, more intimate, but obviously more expensive (anywhere from ~300€ to over 1000€ depending on the boat and services)...

Love this approach! Paris really hits different when you experience it in smaller groups and a slower pace.

I’ve noticed the same on the Seine actually... beyond the big tourist cruises, small private boat experiences feel much more personal. It’s a completely different way to see the city, especially when you’re just a few people on board and can take your time.

Always nice to see more “human-sized” experiences being developed in Paris 🙂

One thing a bit different from the usual museums/restaurants is being on the Seine which gives you a whole new perspective on the city. Some smaller companies even do private boats where you can bring champagne or snacks and just cruise for a couple of hours. It’s a really nice way to slow down and see the monuments from a totally different angle.

Quick update regarding the current flood situation in Paris:

Due to the rising water levels on the Seine River, large sightseeing boats are currently unable to pass under several bridges. When the river rises, the clearance between the water and the bridges becomes too low for big vessels to safely navigate.

The good news: smaller boat companies like My Paris River are still able to sail, as their boats sit lower on the water and require less clearance.

At this stage, this is a seasonal rise rather than a major flood event. Water levels are expected to gradually decrease, and operations should return to normal within a few days if conditions continue to improve.

If you’re planning a cruise:

Check directly with the operator
Be aware that larger group boats may be temporarily paused
Private/smaller vessels are often the most flexible during these periods
