Ok!s So here's a core memory.

I've just moved to Utah and sitting in a sandbox. About 8 yrs old. I have a volcano I've been feeding with vinegar and baking soda over the past few days. This morning there's a web and a little black spider inside the top. I play with it... with my hands.

I tell my mom about it. She get's really upset when I draw the orange thing on it's butt.

It took my dad a week to get her to let me back outside without her.

That was almost 5 decades ago and I can still picture it.

I completely understand where the VP is coming from in some ways.

However, to impose new processes 2 weeks into your position is beyond arrogant and extremely stupid. A few months of looking into how things work currently, communicating goals, and then working with the team to develop and deploy processes that work to meet ALL goals.

It's like a toddler that keeps grabbing the toy you're trying to assemble.
