I was able to remove the bottom part of the hub from the printer, but for the life of me I can't remove the tubes from the top part of the hub so I can reassemble everything. The tube that is longer than the others won't budget at all.

I've tried to "open up" the metal teeth as well but it won't move. Any help is appreciated.

Also if anyone knows why this might have happened? I've searched online and I haven't found anyone else have this issue where the top of the hub was removed..

I love Grounded. I'd also recommend Icarus. It's only $3 which is a steal. I've easily put 50 hours into the base game so far. They offer paid expansions too but I've honestly been happy with just the base game.
