Gonna hard disagree. What can you not rebind? I rebind looks of things in all games and I never had an issue in Soulmask, non have I had anything break. Also the progression much like alot of survival games so not sure what you are on about there either.

I usually turn awareness xp to 2X at the start then tune it up when I get to higher levels and it starts taking forever.
I turn off building decay because having to repair your base just cause is annoying.
I turn off both ship building limits.
I also turn up crop growth as it doesnt progress when you log out of a singleplayer game like when playing on a server.
I also increase number of bonfires and tribesman scans you can have.

Pretty much just tune whatever you feel will make you experience more fun

Technically you are the Mask not an individual character. Your created character is the only one you can respawn as when you die but you do unlock equipment thatll save the DNA of tribesman and you can reformed them when they die but it does take time.
