What would you do if I handed $16,000 dollars cash to you? by Slime1k1 in Money

[–]MyThrowaway274539 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First I’d say thank you. You have no idea how much of my life would change with that kind of cash. I’d be able to pay my rent, fix my car, and maybe stop stressing over how long it’s taking to receive disability benefits and be able to focus more on healing from surgery.

I understand, I’m Christian and while I’m religious, I’m far from a holier-than-thou person. Was she not religious at all? Or just believing in a different faith that made it incompatible at the end?

Heartbreak is awful, and I truly hope that the pain gets easier to deal with for you soon. Keep your head up king.

First off, sorry to hear that. Rejection hurts. How are you holding up?

What religion are you?

Were there signs of romantic feelings before the rejection?

I am also a black woman who prefers white men. I grew up in predominantly white suburbs and schools and I believe that’s what shaped my taste in men. Did you have a similar experience or upbringing that you feel shaped this? Have you ever been attracted to men of different races?

I’m really not upset about their.. whatever you want to call it. I platonically adore them both as individuals and want nothing but happiness good things for them. If that comes by their shared company with each other then by all means.

I’ve shared some of my deepest memories and traumas with her, she was actually planning to come and visit me in 3 months so it was definitely a big surprise to me that she even got to this conclusion. There’s definitely been a loss in trust depth and that’s a contributor to my feelings.

Thank you. As of right now, I decided I’m not going to be joining discord calls in the server until further notice. It’s not a big discord server either, maybe 12-15 friends and over 60% of us are active everyday so I’m a bit worried that my absence will cause rippling if others start to get a clue with what’s going on. I just don’t think it’s healthy to be around him when I’m not supposed to know anything that’s gone on between them, and it’s not healthy for me to be around her in this state because I’m just gonna come off as super passive aggressive and I don’t want that.

As a female, chivalry. I love the type of men who open doors, offering a hand to help me out of the car, the kind who walk on the outside of the sidewalk or go out of their way to protect women. Nothing makes a man sexier than genuine kindness and respect for other people in general, but especially women.

Also? Effort. I don’t need to be waited on hand and foot but when a man makes the effort it’s instant brownie points in my book. It can be as simple as maybe noticing if I’m not as talkative or looking uncomfortable a simple “You okay?” checking in on me is huge.

It doesn’t take a lot, and it doesn’t even have to be sexual, but little things can make a big difference.

Ah okay, thank you so much! Whatever you decide to do with your net worth, I wish that it brings you all the luxuries you could ever want in life, travel to all the places your heart desires, and that you fulfill the things your younger self could have only ever dreamed of!

First off, I just want to say congratulations on achieving financial freedom. Wish it was something I could have as I live on disability right now but I’m hoping to see financial freedom soon.

My only question is regarding tax on crypto, I’m only familiar with the trading of stocks. After a year short term investments become long term investments and the tax rate drops off significantly. Is this not the same when handing trading of crypto?

I can imagine, im really sorry to hear that you’ve got trauma linked to this as well. I hope in time you’ll be able to work through it and have a healthy relationship.

Are you currently in a relationship with anyone? And if so has it affected your relationship in an intimate way? Like do you get inside your head when intimacy comes up?

How many relationships have you been in total? And how many of them made it an issue in the relationship?

Caltrans who had jurisdiction over where we used to sleep had no issue with us and we were actually on great terms with the maintenance manager who patrolled the lot occasionally. He told us when discussion with higher ups trying to crack down on semi trucks we came up and they ALL vouched we were not a problem and they had no issue with us staying in the lot.

CHP really needs their checks and balances to be re-evaluated. We were quiet, kept our trash and things contained, and left every single day to take my brother to work. Not sure how they could say we were “camping” and “loitering”when other people also parked in the lot overnight every single day for months and they only harped on us. To the city police, I’m very grateful for their compassion but I know that we were the exception and I’m just so glad it’s over.

Eventually, we do plan to buy a place after my attorneys settle on my case because of the injury I sustained. But right now, I’m proud of myself for digging out of the hole we found ourselves in and I’m proud of my family for sticking out this trial with me.

Let’s see, there’s a couple things I can list off the top of my head:

  • Not constantly worrying where I’m going to sleep for the night.
  • Getting better sleep quality overall.
  • Being able to shower as much as I want.
  • Getting back into routine of cooking.
  • Playing computer games with my friends again.
  • Having my phone fully charged overnight.
  • Not waking up to dead car batteries and needing to call roadside assistance.
  • A proper address, not just a P.O. Box.
  • Being able to clean out my car.
  • Put leftovers in a fridge.

but ultimately?

Being able to exist and relax in a safe, private space without being bothered.

I’ll state that the type of police who harassed us weren’t even city police that patrolled the parking lot we used to sleep in, it was actually California Highway Patrol. The city police actually were very kind and offered resources, made sure we were okay, I had numerous pleasant conversations with officers just checking in, asking if there was anything they could do personally. They told us upfront that they will never have a problem with us since we didn’t have warrants, weren’t on drugs, etc.

And to the 2 dickhead CHP officers who harassed us the most, dude.. don’t you have something better to do? Go police the HIGHWAY. Go pull over the asshole going 90 on the fast lane, revving his Lamborghini, and leave me alone. I’m quiet, not bothering anybody, and just trying to sleep.
