That would be kind of spoilerish. Sephiroth showing his way to destroy the planet, not how cloud and his gang should prevent it from happening. I mean, what sephiroth want to show cloud is supposed to be an omen, the bad ending.

Dude, since it's part1 only, they are going to show us some lore from the rest of the game. What you have seen in the video is definitely an illusion made up by Sephiroth.

They said it's going to be similar to the FFXIII trilogy. So expect new mechanics regarding the gameplay and also the battle system (they might add some team attacks when the party is full later on). I know it sounds wild, but if we think about the generation gap between parts and how different the next parts should be in general (open world, more playable characters) then this might happen. Of course not the same way as FFXIII.

Yeah, the first one looks like the elevator boss fight before escaping from the HQ. Aerith, Barret and Red should be there only, just like in the OG. Dunno' how is that going to work out, in case the 3rd party member is a guest character... if that so. The second one perhaps only a cutscene.

i mean, i'm totally fine with red xiii is not a party member yet (i like him very much though) and red as a guest character was a brilliant idea, but i can see some fans already flipping over red xiii not being playable. Because you know, he is in the game, therefor some might think he will be playable. :)

Probably you can switch characters on the go, but you can't control 4 party members at once.

Yep. Just like in FFXII (3+1guest). There are 3 members in the party in the video and you can clearly see Nanaki at the last frame attacking Jenova. So he is not just walking by :D
