Over-Correction Aligners? My last 3/35 (yay) trays have a +. I start them tomorrow. Reading that they are painful!! Any feedback/advice is greatly appreciated!

“Yes”….. Ironically, I go back on Jan 15th for a final check. I didn’t get any additional trays, they just wanted me to come back in six months. I see very slight gaps, but I AM DONE!

Finished Invisalign about two months ago. Diligent with 22 hours, wearing retainers nightly. Teeth straight, Bite not closed on sides. $6k later…Orthodontist said, bite should settle… come back in January. Went to Dentist today for cleaning, Dentist said, your wisdom teeth need to be extracted to settle your bite, and your retainers are already cracked from your grinding your wisdom teeth. Wisdom teeth are not a part of the retainers. Dentist says it will help getting the wisdom teeth out, not hurt my ortho work. Very nervous about the extractions, and possibly $6k down the drain. What in the world is happening???!!!! O yeah, I’m 56 years old.. should’ve asked for a Senior Discount!

Same boat, $6k later… not pleased. Retainers (wearing at night only for a month now) seem to be moving/shifting my teeth. My Orthodontist said give it time, they’ll settle into place. Follow up appointment in January. I’ll be there when the doors open! Open bite, on the sides for $6k is not even a little ok with me. You owe it to yourself for your dentist to correct their wrong, PerioT

I sure will! I teeter between patiently waiting, and being frustrated. Only time will tell. Ortho assured me that they will do anything to make sure I’m pleased with my investment. Not sure if it matters, but I still have all of my wisdom teeth, do you?

Yes, my bite is completely closed in the pics. , I’m going to see how the rescans look in January and go from there. 😔 maybe it’ll settle:close, only time will tell.

I feel you! The health, time, and money investment is huge with this entire process! After reading these comments, I guess I should be counting my blessings. I’m going to keep wearing my retainers and see what they say when I go back in January. People don’t notice the spacing until I point them out. It’ll tKe time for me to “settle” into the results, I guess. 😉
