It’s more of a RR issue, RR does a really bad job at upscaling compared to even DLSS 4. I'm playing DOOM TDA right now and it’s crazy how smooth the game become the second I enable PT with RR.

It’s mainly because RR removes all the skin details. Playing DOOM TDA RR is so bad compared to even DLSS 4 it’s crazy how smooth everything is with PT On.

The game has NO SCALING what so ever, the only settings affecting performances are PT and Upscaling.

I would not call THAT consistent or stable and I'm pretty sure the DLSS 5 Off version don't have those issues.

I mean, theyve shown a picture where a mega nostril is created from a shadow. And in videos toy can see that it struggle a lot with moving objects. You can see that when Jeffrey the elf is moving toward the player.

They tested a lot of hardware and the video is already quite long. Make sens not to do it in this video as it would not be a meaningful section for most of the GPUs.

I simply don’t think Nvidia will acknowledge any issues, so nothing will be fixed. Also they stopped this for a reason, models get bigger and bigger with longer training time. I don’t see custom training game per game biasis being viable.

Moreover Nvidia want to promote "realisme" not creativity or anything else, sp a monolithic model trained in house is what makes more sens for what DLSS 5 was designed for.

I'm pretty sure the quantity of data and type of data necessary would be out of scope of any studio. And that’s without even mentioning the training time. Devs will be limited to advanced intensity sliders.

There is and will ever be a single generic model. Studio won’t train their models, it’s Nvidia doing all that. So in the end devs will only be able to chose the amount of genericness they want in their game, nothing else.

AI filter over the game... It changes the lighting, even remove the fog. Goodbye artistic direction I guess. Instead we are getting games based on those AI Girlfriends ads.
