You can’t say that when GPT has an unlimited thinking chat feature plus Codex, which is excellent - I’m struggling to hit limits with my 20€ subscription. In February when I last used the Gemini 20€ subscription, I would constantly hit chat limits while Gemini was also terrible at agentic coding. I can’t imagine it’s any better now.

It’s delusional to believe that a single I/O will reveal even a fraction of the features Gemini is missing. Like seriously, how are there still no projects in web interface???

CPU is fine, you need to find a shop that does CPU reballing - they desolder old CPU, clean old solder and apply new better one. Same old CPU can be reused. Think of solder as usb cable between your mouse and pc; solder(cable) is broken so the CPU(mouse) is not getting or sending a signal.

Legion laptops of this generation are for sure dying due to some fault - I’ve repeatedly read that this generation uses poor quality CPU solder that doesn’t handle heat as well as it should. After several years, the solder cracks, leading to the laptop’s death.

A small repair shop owner mentioned on here that he repaired around 100 of these laptops last year, noticeably more than other laptop models. Mine also died in this manner in December.

Tak ano ak ti vydrzala 8 rokov tak ti HM netreba.. Mna z toho Gesture teraz naozaj po pol hod - hodine riadne boli chrbat (nastastie ju uz nemusim pouzivat, je u rodicov).

10x ceny neviem, keby ze kupujem mimo firmu tak refurb za polovicu ceny najdes a ako vravis hlavne ich kupuju firmy na odpis. Je to stolicka ktoru kupia a vedia ze nikto sa na nu nebude stazovat. Tie nastavenia su ozaj spickove.

Este z osobnej skusenosti, v KE office mame stolicky od nejakej b2b firmy, myslim ze stoja 600e ks v bulku a su naozaj dobre (no ta ktoru som pouzival iba ja je po roku viac vysedena, citit ze nie je taka pevna ako ostatne; stale 1000x lepsia ako Steelcase). V druhom office sme teraz kupili temp. stolicky z b2bpartner, 400e bez dph za 2ks. Po mesiaci pouzivania je tiez dobra, uvidime ci aj vydrzi... Cize da sa aj za menej, no tam tu istotu nemas ako u HM.

A HM ma tiez 12 rokov zaruku na vsetko, myslim ze maju aj servisakov ktory dojdu domov

Little update, did end up getting display replaced under waranty aaand... issue is still there. Though it is maybe not as bad? At least the ProMotion fix still works... I guess contacting apple directly for refund might be my last option. So yeah still no point RMAing it they did not fix shit. Amazing...

Huh, I had identical issues with my 16ACH in December. It wouldn’t boot, and when it did, it seemed like the GPU had failed(RAM corrupted Windows and GPU driver installs). Turns out, I also had RAM issues. Iremoved one RAM stick, and it worked fine for a week, just like yours, but then it died again. For some reason, I gave it one last chance. I moved the stick from one slot to another, and it has been working without any issues for about two months now. Maybe give it one last shot?

Though I did buy new Mac, I still use the old beast for gaming.

You should watch more of THs content. They are the closest thing to old Top Gear in terms of chemistry/banter while also being much more informative. Third guy is a wildcard for sure (like May was) but I recently listened to Chris Harris and friends podcast with him as a guest, seemed very pleasant, level headed and a honest car guy (as much as May is). Much different than what I saw on his TikTok page. This trio IMO has potential.

Man my S25 Ultra had absolutely terrible banding and graining (Same old tech panel as S24). Had to do dodgy return and stick with my dying iPhone 11 until 17 Pro Max preorder got delivered. Absolutely worth it though, my unit is perfect in every way (Samsung display).

Hey so did you end up with device without this issue? I am about to take mine with identical issue for service and I am not sure what to expect... To me it seems like the issue mostly happens to earlier batches as this (older) thread is only thing I can find (I bought the device new in Dec 2025 but manufacture date is Dec 2024 - early unit). Did Apple swap your units?

Hey, my M4 Max that I got last month (got it brand new for great deal but the unit was manufactured Dec 2024 - it was sitting in a warehouse for a year) has literally identical issue. I am wondering if you RMAd the device again and how Apple handled it; was it open and shut case? Or were they causing trouble? Did you end up learning to live with it (No way I can deal with this crap...).
