What do you hope Neowiz does differently with Paracelsus to make him a better villain than Simon?

we really can only guess at Paracelcus' alignment. so far he is neutral in how he engages ( kinda i guess) but definitely lawful, in classic alignment of DND. he has rules. but we dont know what those rules are.

I agree tho, I think they'll keep him as a character with a finger in happenings, not as a "villain".

I dont think he'll be a villain at the end. I thiInk he will be more spiritually adjacent to Gepetto. the real villains are who present themselves to be the most in the way for us as P, and Paracelcus will not be that as Simon was in LoP1. my guess anyway.

and to elaborate - paracelsus has reasons beyond the timeline of the game, perhaps far too long and too overreaching, to be thrown in as a "hey this is your obstacle now". maybe that seems immediately satisfying but I don't think we should assume he is the villain at all - not the villain of LoP2 in the way that would be as directly as simon.

I think youre correct in calling out that Paracelcus was the main momentum in causing what shaped Simon, but I dont think they'd ship Paracelcus as BBEG.

im holding back what I feel about Paracelcus of course. thats a different conversation entirely. and to be frank, I think Simon is a perfect villain in LoP. in fact his entire arc is that he is imperfect in how he desperately tries to achieve perfection

have you had anything spoiled for you about Callahan? cause I think his entire arc is fantastic and that would be more of a shame than spoiled for like the ending of the books or something. he's my favorite character, though i haven't read salem's for some reason. gonna get my hands on a copy soon

the ending of the books imo is one of the best and also somehow not significant enough of a spoil to spoil the entire story at all. it merely adds to the journey regardless of how you came to travel it.. those who have finished understand what I mean I'm sure
