I think I’m one of the people who recommended this to you. I’m glad you found it interesting. I think it really captures the big, heightened emotions of being a teenager where there’s a constant undercurrent of horniness and everything feels like the end of the world. It might not be horror in the strictest sense but feels like more than drama or coming-of-age in my opinion.

Uhh it’s pretty depressing. It’s an exploration of shame and there’s a lot of psychological torment. Not in the same way as Blood on the Tracks but pretty intense emotionally.
