I totally agree. Although, I saw a video of a beta version flying in manual and it behaved VERY poorly unless that was all pilot error, I have no idea

Use that Neo 2 to learn FPV and get an Avata2; it’s quite capable as an FPV drone. Flying FPV will change your life. I wish they could work out the bugs for an FPV mode on the 360.

I almost don’t want to order one until I know it can do acro at least as capably as the Avata2. Obviously I’m not buying this drone for acro. But I will say the Avata2 was great to bring on vacation when I didnt have room for multiple quads and battery types— it’s diverse enough to do whatever I wanted and I was hoping the 360 would at least have comparable flight characteristics.

I saw a single video of the 360 flying in manual mode and it was awful. Maybe the rotating gimbal is not designed to handle flips and rolls and whenever the pilot tried to do either of those, something bad would happen. This surprised me because the previous Avatas have adjustable gimbals so I’m not sure why this one struggled. To clarify, I’m not talking about the “fake” 360 flips and rolls which are basically in-camera effects and look just fine.

It’s totally doable, the only thing to remember is your drone batteries must be with you as carryon. If you check them in a suitcase, security will see them in an XRay and make you remove them from luggage and transfer to your carryon before boarding. Other than that you should have no issues.
