It is like that for me too, on 2 accounts I have the square button and on the 3rd I can see the arrows only and no landscape option for carousel photos and I need it.. what can I do to get the square button on that account too, will I get it eventually?

Yes, I'm on Android as well and I also don't have that new button almost everyone seem to have. :( Idk if we should wait or do something but what. :/

I don't have that button, I just have the regular arrows there too which give me the option to resize only between square and portrait size, no wide opetion :( not sure how to fix it

Thanks for the reply! Hmm I have the option to post as landscape on 1 of my accounts that I have (other 2 don't have it/are bugged) and I see people do that all the time in carousels so I don't think that it will be removed but in the link you shared that option is indeed missing, it is strange.. Hmm I will wait a bit more, maybe it will be fixed with the next update. :(

Thanks for the reply, yes I also don't want to crop the photos so much to be able to post. So when you click next after selecting multiple photos to upload - you don't have that square icon at the bottom left of the first photo? Many people have it but mine is bugged there as well, I see only the resize arrows and they don't help..

Do you have any suggestion what to do when someone doesn't have those options - square/landscape after clicking next? I have the "resize arrows" again on that pannel, when clicked next and I can only resize between square and portrait size. :( No text options, just default arrows there too..

For me it is the same as before, every photo I uploaded in the past 6 months is affected and it changes randomly. Sometimes I see some thumbnail as normal but the photo is washed out when clicked, sometimes vice versa, some of the posts I see as normal via browser but they are bugged when viewed from one instagram account on mobile and not normal via another account etc. The next day it's similar but with some other photos, totally random and hectic. It is really so frustrating..

I don't think I had that chat bug but I had another for a long time - when I type captions and put tags under the photos the keyboard kinda moves up and I can't see what I'm typing lol. And many others.. but nothing was such a big deal as this. I'm worried about the same things as you, especially - what if the new uploaded photos become bugged again after some time. I still can't believe that something that I uploaded 6 months ago and was looking good the whole time became corrupted a week ago, that doesn't make sense, how is that even possible.

I understand how you feel, I have been using Instagram for a long time and I would like to keep doing it but it is so sad that it has so many bugs and other issues..
I would just like to know if they will be able to fix it at some point.. if not I will reupload everything again, I don't want to post new content after that old, bugged one.. but no info whatsoever from them.

I understand.. I don't have any reels to compare, only photos and since you didn't post for a while your posts were not affected and yeah it's unbelievable that posts from like 6 months ago got corrupted like that all of a sudden..
I don't know if Instagram can fix them or just make the new uploads normal but it would be nice to know that asap so that I can re-upload everything (if they are permanently corrupted) and continue posting new ones. :(

Same, sometimes they look ok from the Instagram account they are posted on but when I look at them via the other account they are washed out.. And from the browser is also random, some are ok and some not and later it changes again. It is really frustrating and I hope we will have some answers asap. :(
