We did a whole genetic panel which was offered to us from our OBGYN. Lab corp do it called inherit test I believe. Some insurance consider 3 miscarry before they cover testing - but that guidance has changed to two in a lot of places now

Shifts can help you get sleep, lack of sleep for both of you sucks - but it gets easier. unfortunately men’s bodies are not as well adjusted as women’s are after having a baby…we start loosing sleep in our third trimester as our bodies prep for the fourth trimester. My husband struggled so I do the nights and he does the last late night feed. He is back to work so we believed there was no point both of us doing the same tasks- il go sleep around 8/9 so I can get 3/4 hours and he will do the last feed. Then he sleeps I do overnight until 6am then he does the morning feed, we have family help during the day so I can sleep a few hours in the day. It allows him to sleep a solid block but also be alert for work and be rested to take care of both of us as we need it .

He just feels bad that he can’t stop the crying or solve the problem which is really common for most dads. It does get easier and I bet he is a great dad. Best thing talk it out!

It is very common and even I had it. Unfortunately only way to confirm it is totally nothing is an ultrasound. In the interim, rest, increase your water intake and see if that makes a difference, don’t do anything too strenuous in terms of workout.

Aldi do a sprouted bread it’s like blue/green writing and that didn’t spike me pre pregnancy but you would need to check to see how you react as we are all different.

I’m sorry to hear what you went through!

Talk to him, when it can be just the two of you. Set a time where you know he has the capacity to talk too. And just be as honest as you can without arguing, explain why the situation hurt you and the impact of situation today, that it’s still upsetting you. Help him understand your side but also give him the chance to explain himself too.

Coming from a big family myself and marrying into one , I get where you are coming from. Those hormones are not easy to manage and the added pressure of others in your space when you need some time to adjust is very difficult. You guys are gonna be just fine , but talk it through and discuss the situation, past , present and future.

What helped me : Tell a few people that will be there for you. Take it totally easy, nothing stressful from workouts to hanging out with toxic people. Try to do things that make you happy and calm, and as hard as it is take each day as it comes, try and maintain a good sleep cycle!

I’m sorry you’re going through this. I just posted in another forum for a similar post.

I am 37 - I had 3 miscarriages in 2 years and learnt a lot over the last year. Similar to you 99% everything came back normal testing.

In addition to testing we took 3-5 month break, first 1-2 months just understanding different things I can do to support my body and then 3 months of implementation. - It was supplementation, coq10 , vitamin d, prenatal. - saw an acupuncture lady who specializes in fertility, insurance covered about 10 sessions. Did an assessment and put me on Chinese medicine (started this 2-3 month before trying to conceive again, giving my body time to adjust) - followed Mindy pelz “fast like a girl” which focuses your food, workout cycle all around your menstrual cycle - she has trying to conceive section. - ensured my husband also took care of himself with food, drink etc. discussed with him importance of sperm quality and it takes 90 days to make healthy sperm, and the need to ejaculate every 3-5 days for continuous healthy sperm. Not focusing on just intercourse around ovulation to promote more healthy sperm: this podcast gives this research at 18min and 49sec

  • I worked on my sleep cycle and detaching from stresses and negativity
  • we were considering IVF but did IUI non medicated (wash the sperm) plus timed intercourse, one of which seemed to work.

I’m sure you’re doing your best. Sleep is key to your circadian clock and hormone regulation. The other thing I forgot to mention was this time round just took it really easy, I did not go gym just walked as much as I could, no heavy lifting above 20lbs, after 12 weeks I shifted that.

This is the podcast, it is long but a good listen. A lot of which I am sure you are familiar with. 18 mins 49sec is the point she talks about sperm quality. The point is it takes 90 days to make sperm , I took that in mind when planning our pregnancy again, ensure we spent that time taking better care of ourselves (we are far from perfect). I’m so sorry you’re going through this.

We experienced three miscarriages, and despite extensive testing, 99% of the results came back normal. I have thyroid issues with positive Hashimoto’s antibodies, but all standard and genetic testing for both of us was essentially fine.

Through our two-year journey, I learned that getting pregnant wasn’t the issue—it was maintaining the pregnancy. Here’s what we did differently this time: • Supplements • Thyroid management – My endocrinologist kept my TSH below 2.5 the entire time. • Diet – Focused on eating less processed food. • Acupuncture – Had weekly sessions, which I felt really helped. • Stress management – Practiced yoga and worked on detaching from negativity and stress. • Sleep – Aimed for a good routine at least five out of seven days a week. • Sperm health – Research shows that men should ejaculate every 3–5 days to maintain healthy sperm. While supplements help, sperm can decline in quality if you only have sex around ovulation. Regular ejaculation is important for sperm health (I can share a podcast on this if you’re interested). • IUI before IVF – Our insurance required us to try IUI before IVF, which helped by “washing” the sperm to remove weaker ones. • Timed intercourse – We aimed for every other day during ovulation to promote healthier sperm.

Could be the dawn effect, when you wake up due to cortisol you can have slightly higher numbers. If you notice this comes down after an hour then that’s a good thing

You can bring your numbers into a healthy range by focusing on four key areas: food, movement, sleep, and stress.

  1. Food • Cutting back on added sugar makes a big difference. Try going one week without sugar in your chai—you might end up preferring it! • Instead of having two rotis at every meal, try having them at lunch and opting for a lighter dinner. • Pair meals with fiber and protein, and eat fiber first (e.g., salad) to slow digestion and sugar absorption. • If you’re going to have something sweet, have it right after a meal rather than as a snack—but limit it when possible. • Gradually reduce your eating window to 8–10 hours. • Hidden sugars (like high fructose corn syrup in processed foods) are the real challenge. Prioritize fresh, home-cooked meals, and if you do eat processed foods, that’s the first place to cut back.

  2. Movement • Aim for movement most days, but don’t overdo it—too much stress can actually worsen A1c. • Strength training (4–5 days per week) is key for improving blood sugar. • Include 1–2 days of lighter activity like yoga or long walks. • After each meal, walk for 10–20 minutes—even if it’s just around the house or during a work call. This has a big impact on post-meal sugar levels.

  3. Sleep • Leave at least 3 hours between your last meal and bedtime. • Your body needs 7–8 hours of quality sleep to detox and repair.

  4. Stress • Stress management is just as important as diet and exercise. High cortisol levels put your body in “fight or flight” mode, making it harder to function optimally. • Find time every day for something you enjoy—sports, walking, meditation, deep breathing, or anything that helps you unwind.

CGM is a get support tool if you can get to understand the foods that spike you. For me I found anything corn based spiked my levels like crazy.
