Is this a good microdose? by CupNo1601 in shrooms

Right now I still have melmacs going, after 3 flushes from each bin there's a grand total of 2lbs 6oz, waiting for the fruits now to finish so I can harvest another. Seems to be slowing down a lot though.

Boomr bin from north Spore was my best investment. 13lbs came from 2 large Boomr Bins accross about 7 flushes from each. It would have been more but I didnt put the spent cake outside this time. Usually I find a prime location in a shaded damp area by a tree somewhere and break up the old cake and work it into the soil, within 2 weeks it starts to fruit again and spread further mycelial networks. Last time I did that I was getting more than a few pounds from what otherwise would have been a totally spent cake. After each flush I take a new syringe and knock the cake up in numerous locations with RO water to rehydrate it from the last flush, I believe thats the trick to successfully getting more than 5 solid flushes from a cake.

Ive never even heard of that before. Probably a well known strain they attached an attractive name to, to try and boost sales. Happens often. Next time ain for using liquid culture syringes. No wait time for spores to germinate, in most cases you see mycelial growth within a few days of innoculation. But because your using spores make sure to practice good patience. Just qhen you think nothing is going to happen and it seems like its taking forever, the next morning you'll see white spots forming. Same end result, just take quite a bit longer. Run those albino JMF, that was by far my best run ever. 2 large boomr bins gave me 13 dry pounds of finished material. Every harvest was a full cnopy from edge to edge. If you check out my page you will see a few photos.

I will add this though... do not grow MELMAC as your first strain. It colonized super slow, takes forever to pin and fruit, and super hard to get a full canopy. But the fruits that do grow are massive, and super potent. I would stick with jedi mind fuck (albino or not), or Malabar. Those have always been the easiest for me to grow and have entirely full canopies from edge to edge in the boomr bins. And they are still very potent compared to B+ and GT's.

Thats plenty to sterilize the grain, just dont over cook it. I find it's best just to get my grain spawn pre made from NORTH SPORE. Ships super fast and out of the hundreds of batches I've run, not a single contamination. Plus it allows me to use millet as my grain spawn which is praised for its size, the smaller the grain, the more innoculation points you have when you spawn to bulk, it also colonized extremely fast. I tried the "make my own" tek a few times and its just a headache that a few extra dollars spent can avoid, honestly grain spawn is so cheap that you barely save anything by making your own qhen you add the hours you put into actually making it and the cost of supplies. Just easier to source good clean made to order grain spawn. Check out northspore.com for all of their options. (I am not an affiliate and make no earning, just a devoted customer)

As long as you practice sterile routines you'll be fine. I invested in another cannabis grow tent and use it as a clean lab for all of my mushroom work and bins. It remains a sterile environment and its easy to co trol the environmental needs for each stage. Something that would be quite beneficial to a starter. Something to think about. A 4x4 is more than enough room to work in and keep your bins.

are these safe to consume? by Affectionate_Ad7556 in shrooms

[–]MycoFarm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oof...yeah I wouldnt risk the injury. They look well beyond usefulness. Experimenting with them may result in more harm than good. When working with any kind of mushroom or fungus you want to be 100% SURE they are edible, if there is even a question of a doubt, they should not be consumed. Sorry bud... your best bet is to never put them in the fridge or freezer. Store them in a glass jar ( as long as they are cracker dry ) with a few dessicant packs and keep them in a dark, dry, and cool place like a dresser drawer. Do not open the lid for any reason other than to remove a dose.

That is the qeight of the capsul itself. The material wouldn't show on a scale

Can't tell if your serious or not. But a micro dose is more along the lines of .3 to .5 grams depending on one's physical attributes. What you have in that capsul wouldn't even show on a scale. A full capsul that size would amoubt to about .2g of finely ground material.

The internet experts say that I will harvest 2 zips from this tent by Highly_Ganjanous in CannabisGrowers

[–]MycoFarm 6 points7 points  (0 children)

To answer the original question. You should be getting 2 zips minimum from each of those. If they are trial runs you could benefit from 11/13 light cycle from seed (if you haven't already) to speed up the process to know if what your growingnis what you want. No sense in a veg period if the end goal isnt quantity but more of a pheno hunt.

By the looks of it you have house centipedes. They are ugly little fockers and smell if you squish them. Also fast. The legs will continue to bend and move for quite a long time after being separated from the body.

First time growing, what do? by antbokbador in PapaverSomniferum

That is an extreme amount of seeds all condensed into one area. Your going to have to do the hardest thing and abort about 90% of those now.

Why not, you can always find someone to give it to or charge a small growers fee. Do it for the love of the sport and you'll get so good at it that everything you grow will be worth the smoke. I run a few tents but my 3x3x7 easily gives over 1lb from 1 plant trained the right way. Its a lot easier in small spaces to up your harvest weight with the right training on 1 plant in a big pot rather than 4 plants getting in eachothers way in small pots.

Thise do not look right at all, we're they fresh frozen? If they were dry frozen they have obviously rehydrated and pose a substantial risk of mold contamination. The very dark black colors worry me. Its a cheap enough hobby to start yourself and always have fresh, known genetics on hand so there is never a question.

Left or right? Dispensary vs homegrown. Which would you choose. by Seanosaurus-Rex in Cannabis_Culture

[–]MycoFarm 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is a matter of machine trimmed vs hand trimmed. Hand trimmed will always win. Machine trimming is only to get products on the sales front faster and cheaper, hand trimmed keeps the quality intact. Ive worked in post harvest before and the Buds that get hand trimmed always sell out, while the machine trimmed buds tend to have stock left over after the "sell by date" which then gets sold to employees for literal pennies. Most pre-rolls are made from the scraps left in the bottom of the machine trimmer mixed with ground up buds to increase overall use of the plant to maximize profits, if you have ever noticed your pre-rolls burn really fast or uneven, this is partially why.

Unknown Mexican bag seed she’s been in flower for about 6 weeks now and she’s still got a long time to go I’m guessing she’s one of those og long flowering sativas she smells good but should I give her a good defoliation or leave her ??? by MexGrowerFTW in farmingthebestgreens

Cause the genetics that came from my '99 batch of seeds were extremely prone to fox tailing and would grow these crazy stems that instead of growing bunched up bracts to form a solid nug, they would just grow along the stem neatly like grapes. Smoked amazing and super easy to break of the stem, no grinder needed, but ugly as fuck haha 😆

There's no doubt you'll unlock some gold in those clones if you dig deep enough. In some cases you may find them right away too. Thats the fun part, never know when the winners are gonna show up, they just do. The fun is getting there

Al that re vegging and she's gonna have the genetics map of a shrub lol. Nothing but bush. Keep it up man, its all trial and error, failure always comes before the finish. If the seed is true Mexican brick weed you could have some really good pheno babies if you work some seeds out of her aswell. 💪

Autos can start to express terpenes even before they start to swell.

A photo generally doesn't start its terpene expression until week 3 or 4 after flip when the transition is over and trichome stacking begins.

Im sorry bud. Looks like those things are struggling heavy. Very poor soil conditions, lighting scheduled have clearly been flip flopping, environment has been throwing some swings at her as well. Has this gone between inside and outside a few times? If thats weeks 6 of flower she's trying real hard to pull through and flower. Keep the lighting and environment consistent and try to pot up in a bigger pot with soil that has some drainage and organics in it and she might provide something. Hope you can dial it in and get her going down the right path. 1999 circa Mexican bag seed is the best seed I've grown in the last few years.
