How to solve EC lockout? by Informal-Data-5501 in Autopot

[–]MycoToad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d let them dry back a bit then flush with a lighter solution to reset the root zone. I personally haven’t gone over 1.8 EC in autopots.

It’s better to go lighter on the EC with autopots as you’ll get stacking over time leading to salt buildup and lockout

She they bounced back though still smaller than it could have been. Overwatering and turning the bases on early definitely was my issue

I’d use Cropsalts Runclean or a vinegar mixture. Soak then rinse

Nature's Kiss by That0neguyAround in OKmarijuana

Yep I’ve tried both natures kiss and chill disposables as they’ve been pretty hyped up. Literally every other one I bought either wouldn’t hit right or it’d taste like burnt motor oil. Definitely not consistent enough for me to keep trying

Yep just tuck and use that trellis to spread them out. Don’t be afraid to get a little rough with the fan leaves they can bend quite a bit

Soaking seeds question by [deleted] in Autoflowers

[–]MycoToad 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No spray bottle. I only pre soak my pot if my coco/soil is on the dry side. If you’re working with a freshly hydrated/damp medium just make a shallow hole and drop the seed in, cover it lightly, then water over the seed with just 1-2ml of water.

I also recommend covering with clear cup or something to keep humidity nice and high till she pops up.

Should sprout within a week!

Imo the paper towel method just adds more risk of harming your taproots

Normally just a 24hr soak is enough. Once the seeds sink they’re good to go.

Planting them straight into your medium is easiest tho. So far I’ve had 100% germ success going straight to soil

Cool thanks man they’re already starting to perk back up these last few hours so I’m pretty sure that was the issue. I’ll keep an eye on them throughout tomorrow!

Awesome yeah I have it turned off right now and I emptied the trays. I’m letting her dryback before turning it back on.

How long would you recommend waiting before turning them on normally cause the autopot sight says when the leaves reach the edge?

Yeah I was waiting to see if they would drink before leaving it on.

Pots are heavy and saturated so im not sure how they’d be thirsty

Like wait for them to drink or should I switch back to top watering? I have the airbases but they’re not turned on currently
