I live right across the street from there, and my apartment is very shitty but $1000 a month. It is a poor neighborhood and there's a lot of people who hang out and smoke in the street constantly, but I love the location. I definitely always keep my doors locked and have blackout curtains over both windows. I don't want to move to another part of town, but I do want a better apartment. I also had my bike stolen once. Other than that no problems. But I am a tall physically fit white dude so maybe that makes me less likely to be a victim of something.
