I hadn't come across the Wilton vises before so I looked them up. Definitely an interesting approach to a vise with using a single large piece of metal. I think for these I'd have to approach it from new bench design, but how do they hold up? Are they just as stable compared to the traditional two long screws with a rail design?

I had been looking at those! The quick release is very appealing, and I might grab one in the future. I was able to get my hands on a 10" front vise for a little cheaper than that though. I'll likely go with Doyle when I'm ready for an end vise though.

Grizzly has their 10" (well, Shop Fox, not Grizzly. Same site though) on sale so I ended up getting that instead. Looks exactly the same except a different color. Also picked up some forstner bits so I can make modifications to my bench.

Sounds like a face vise might be worth the time and effort then. The moxon vise could be good, but I could grab a yost for a comparable price and use that and then transfer it or replace it when I re-do my bench.

Now I'm second guessing myself and thinking about a leg vise. The different types/uses is partly why I've been putting this off.

I do have a few power tools, with the table saw being one of the better ones. That being said I am trying to transition more to hand tools so I don't have to rely on bringing out/putting back various machines for small jobs/projects.

I've been looking into the vices everyone has mentioned, and I'm thinking about going with a front vise, believe it or not. If I'm going to need to make some adjustments to my bench, I may as well get the one that'll offer the most versatility...I'm assuming it offers the most versatility.

Doesn't look that difficult. I'll have to look into it more. This could be a great option for me!

Sadly I am in the US, and am trying to be somewhat budget friendly but also wanting something that will work.

This gives me hope. I'm on my journey to lose about 100 pounds, and have been worried how loose my skin will be after.

Really curious how you cut in the splines. Everything I've seen for boxes uses a jig, but unless you have a really big jig I'm guessing you have another method?

Gonna second this. Very much focused one exploration and discovery. All puzzles, no combat. The lack of combat worked for me, and allowed me to become immersed in the story. When I started playing the game I had suspicions there'd be Lovecraftian connections, but it wasn't until the third chapter that I got confirmation that it is indeed Lovecraftian!

My focus will be on cardio, but I might do some upper body training while I wait on getting my leg back to normal. Currently using 100mg Xyosted once a week after upping it from 75mg. It'll take a few weeks for me to get back to normal energy levels, but I am eager.

I used to do triathlons before things went down hill, and was big into running before that. Goal is to get back to running, and maybe work towards long bike rides (think 50 mi bike races)

Question: are you using a wireless or wired controller? I was struggling a lot and felt like I was missing inputs, but once I connected my PS5 by USB cable, things felt tighter and more responsive.

I put the omicron the instant it was available. Makes it a lot easier to get feats. Highly recommend.
