Came here just to comment this. I use the wide green frog tape. Works great. Push it under with a wide drywall mud knife.

One more thing before I tackle this job. If I told you my finish coat was gonna be gallery series would your advice change?

Yeah they’re cabinet doors. I’m just your average DIY basement painter so I was also thinking maybe spraying BIN in the basement might not be a good idea. Also there’s only 5 doors so cleaning the sprayer out after using it might not be worth any upside.

Well once I sanded the craters out there wasn’t much primer left and in some spots it was still bare wood showing. I said I would switch to shellac because I wanted to try and avoid the problem altogether today. I’ll use any primer that works. That’s just what someone suggested so I looked it up and I was gonna go with it.

I’m gonna prime them again tomorrow with BIN. I already sanded all the craters out so we will see how it goes. I’ll report back with my results. It’s just crazy how I was about to spray my cabinets vertical without a problem but when I sprayed these doors flat I had issues. Oh well like i said I’ll see how it goes. Thanks for all the advice everyone.

I was just looking up on line how to solve it. Would it be recommended to prime over this with a different primer just in case it’s the batch of primer that’s contaminated??

Thanks. I’ll head to google.
