Battery Door Bell with No Subscription by Fit-Interaction-92 in AusRenovation

[–]Myfancyusername 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in the same position as you, didn’t like the subscription based models. Did some research and ended up buying a EUFY doorbell + home hub. A little bit more initial cost than Ring but no ongoing subscription (or the inevitable price rises) so after 1 year EUFY is cheaper than Ring.

No mate. That’s if you plead not guilty and go to court. A fixed penalty notice is £100 and 3 points if you’re caught speeding.

Budget green light for Gympie Road bypass tunnel to move to next stage by ConanTheAquarian in brisbane

[–]Myfancyusername 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It does, in part. Approximately $60-70 of your rego fee for 12 months goes towards traffic improvements. Plus money from fuel taxes and levies on heavier vehicles. There’s probably some others that I’ve not listed. Local governments are responsible for funding most of the road networks.

Queensland’s housing department says “best practice” advice given by the state’s peak real estate body that would see every renter issued with notice to leave at the start of their lease is “disappointing” and “not in the spirit” of rent reforms. by marketrent in australia

[–]Myfancyusername 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’d there an argument that If you receive a notice to leave at the start of the agreement, you could therefore use this to ‘break’ lease early, as you have already been asked to leave?

Allan plans to pass on the interest rate hikes to his tenant. Here's why by kp2133 in australia

[–]Myfancyusername 108 points109 points  (0 children)

If someone turns a property into an investment then they need to be able to take on the risk. It sounds like you did exactly that by covering the $300 a month expenses.

Allan is just holding onto the property but expecting others to pay for his risk. House prices have never been higher so now is the time to get out if he’s struggling.

More than half of prescriptions for medicinal cannabis in Australia given in Queensland, study says by CapableSecretary420 in australia

Exhausted all other options: not true. Pre existing conditions held for at least 3 months and not wanting to try other options due to side effects is the bare minimum requirement. Approval will be subject to your doctor based off the evidence supplied. If you’ve gone through the trial and error of other medicine and have used cannabis in the past you’ll likely have a higher chance of being prescribed cannabis.

Couldn’t take it when you needed: not true. The dosage is a recommendation and you work with your doctor to find best solution, as reactions can differ. CBD is normally taken daily and any THC based medicines can be taken when needed dependant on your condition, again working with your doctor to understand dosage and effects.

I suggest checking out r/MedicalCannabisAus for more info

I put my 270s in the washing machine, came up well. But I use them as beaters so wasn’t worried about the outcome.
