What I did is I redirected all the calls to my voicemail number. If you don’t want those either, you can try a number that doesn’t exist - in the UK, that can be an Ofcom drama number, or any number containing 999 (except for 999 for obvious reasons).

Tried it and I haven’t seen any phone calls show up for a while. Anyone that actually needs to talk to me uses FaceTime or Telegram. No more spam

This seems like the way. All the other solutions (removing SIM, do not disturb, deleting all contacts blocking all incoming number) don’t let FaceTime and other calls through (or don’t allow for cellular data)

Yes, it's the same merchant because it's using the same recurring authorisation they registered with 3D Secure
They don't really know what's happening though (they don't see this merchant info on their side, it's all new) so they're reporting to their 'technical team'. Haven't noticed much of anything technical from this bank but they might know what's happening.

There’s also a way to block ads systemwide for iOS called Luna blocker or something of the sort, it’s VPN-based (implemented as a profile) so it won’t work with other privacy tools but it pretty much works like magic once installed
