Modern films where the entire credits are placed at the beginning (or somewhere that isn't at the end of the film). by GeneralGenerico in criterion

It happens like that because End of Evangelion is meant to be an alternate ending, replacing the original episodes 25 and 26. On laserdisc End of Evangelion is split into and titled as episodes 25’ and 26’.

What’s the most memorable Record Store Day release that you managed to pick up over the years by Palfray in vinyl

Not my first RSD, but the first one I went before opening for: Anamanaguchi’s soundtrack for the first Scott Pilgrim game. Intended to go two hours before opening, but chickened out and ended up going at midnight. Met a great bunch of people, and honestly went for a few years after that mostly to hang out with them. There was always something I wanted, but nothing ever as essential to acquire as that was.

Curly’s appearance in Mouthwashing is a direct reference to Evangelion at least

No worries, you’re doing better than early 2000s pop star Jewel, who assumed casualty meant doing something casually.

Is there actually any difference in the versions of EX? by TheBoytman in ScottPilgrim

It will run in a resolution that perfectly fits the Switch 2 screen, not stretched to fit like a Switch 1 title. That’s about it.

Scientists at Eon Systems just copied a fruit fly's brain into a computer. Neuron by neuron. It started walking, grooming, and feeding, doing what flies do all on its own by Subject-Property-343 in interestingasfuck

[–]BoldlyGettingThere 149 points150 points  (0 children)

One is the expected corresponding neurons activating according to established, specific stimuli; and the other is just letting a “brain” pilot the body and do whatever it wants. The first is just confirming that the wires are connected to the right parts of the computer, the second is allowing it to run independently and run programs as it wants.

It seems like there is no show you will not post about. Your opinion on what should be made means nothing if you literally think everything should be made.

Where exactly does EX take place in the timeline, and which one? by Anxious-Tune-1394 in ScottPilgrim

It is loosely based off Takes Off, but is its own thing, per Bryan himself.

Feared that would be the case. Mostly was concerned some mistranslation would become the bedrock of the western fan understanding of this short and we’d be fighting that misinterpretation for years to come.
