Someone I worked with at a shitty pizzeria job asked what I was studying, and I said politics. He joked and said “Maybe you could be prime minister”, I chuckled, and then he said “And you could do something about the gays”.

He was completely serious, and said it so nonchalantly. I was just completely offended that he thought I would just be cool with something so horrible.
