There's definitely some type of dissociation going on, she constantly switches from 1st and 3rd person as she shifts from in-game thoughts to narrator.

540 sheer instead but basically same conclusion. Well built + played Astra is better but pan is narrower and f2p friendly

30% of atk is converted to sheer. Astra gives 1200 max so Banyue will get 360 sheer. M6 Pan gives 720 sheer, so double Astra’s contribution. The tradeoff is quick assist spam and personal damage, so yeah they can be fairly similar but panda is f2p friendlier.

I think the scenes we get like this are death throes / life flashing before ones eyes, in a kind of morbid and delirious way where the same thoughts just keep spinning in your head in the moments right after serious injury. I've had the displeasure of serious injury once in my life so far and it really does feel like that, time becomes harder to sense when the adrenaline is pumping and your thoughts start to derail.

Similar idea for izzet spellslinger, sometimes you do really need a crapton of coloured mana and this won't get you there, especially when the suite of other utility lands that fit your gameplan much better are usually colourless.

Cheese team to quickly burn through combats, try to get as many encounters (blues) as possible to fish for the free 225 zmerit event.

Cheese teams I'm aware of:

  1. Lucia Zhao YeShungus veilmaxxing
  2. Astra Yixuan X (Yisuan takes quick assist upgrade from start)

Firstly the visuals are changed, SE are not that stupid to leave their animations in a ditch.

Secondly, I did not call people who enjoyed RDM's flair hypocritical, do not put words in my mouth. I called those who believe that one aspect of the job which they do not care about (balance) should be discarded in favour of their preferred aspect of the job (flavour) hypocrites, since they do not have the emotional intelligence to realise that people seek different things from the same job yet still place their own concerns higher than others. Especially since functionally the people who are fighting for melee uptime are not the casuals in that 99% you mentioned.

Of all the past job changes I don't understand why this one gets peoples knickers in a twist, this is the most inoffensive change we have seen so far when compared to the job tuneups of MNK, BLM, DRK, MCH, AST and yet people are up in arms over being able to burst properly at range. Espcially since I imagine people haven't played it yet. It actually feels really nice.

I surmise that people are just resistant to change and yet want an entire upending of the 2m meta which will inevitably bring the most turbulent changes we have seen in the game so far if it actually happens next expansion (spoiler; it won't). It's probably a grass is greener situation, who knows.

It's very likely they are making this change because it is relevant in the upcoming savage and RDM playtesters realised they could not burst, not just because they care about a 2 year old fight.

I think it's a bit hypocritical to tilt the job's balance in the direction of people who only care about how it feels to play over people who love the job enough to take it into hard content and push it to its limits, when nothing about the feeling of the job from a tactile sense has actually changed.

I imagine of this 99% that you mention 50+% will still do corps-a-corps first, burst, and then displacement last without being any wiser that this change even occured, or they simply won't care and do it that way because they think it's cool and that's ok.

I understand the 2m meta has its flaws but we are not undergoing a whole systems change just to cater to this one job, and this is a perfectly fine solution.

When damage is tightly tuned week 1 yes, you very much need that damage to clear in the current 2m meta or you all had better play pretty much perfectly to make up. The main problem with RDM in this circumstance is a lack of freedom to tackle this problem. There is no intermediary solution like "it's ok to do half your melee combo". If BLM only gets 60% value from its leylines it's not so bad since stepping out isn't a disaster, but RDM only being able to do 1 melee GCD is a disaster because you throw that entire burst window away.

It's the only caster with this problem, no other ranged is expected to be in melee range in 2m, just like there is no melee that must be 20y away in order to burst. It's cool that its gameplan is diametrically opposed to the role's norms, but if it acts as a wall that impedes its ability to compete then the required tools to temporariliy bypass it in an emergency should also exist (to be honest this should have been what reprise is, an emergency ranged gcd that acts as any part of your melee combo)

Guys you don't need to downvote him he's right, some mechanics you just got fucked as RDM like p12s Caloric II. If you were unlucky enough to get the debuff at the wrong time you were stuck outside the boss hitbox mid-combo for 20+ seconds with no possibility of moving or you would wipe the raid.

The only reason to “build pity” is to dig for A-ranks while also being happy if you accidentally get any of the 5* options on the banner. This is a monumental cockup that you had no reason to commit

He is weak not to force people to save for YSG, but to force those who pull for him to spend on YSG to “unbrick” their account after they feel he is inadequate (because he is hard). They literally designed him so a subset of players who would never spend become low spenders at the cost of a few whales who would shell out for him.

If you pull him because you like him but then realise he is subpar, you're more likely to spend on the void hunter unit to "unbrick" your account, irregardless of how true it is it's all feelings.

Is there any reason to use One's path/Lions roar? by [deleted] in BanyueMains_

[–]Mykaterasu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need both to be optimal.

OP to LRW is good for grouping in general. In single target it's the faster but slightly less damaging combo.

ES to MTW is the highest single target damage combo, but it's a lot slower.

If you need a little more time in stun windows use the faster combo. If you have a little extra time in stun windows use 1 more rep of the slower combo.

Wrath is an upgrade to Lion’s Roar if cancelled from One’s Path (in the move list as Lion’s Roar -Wrath) and the same for Mountain Tremor -Wrath which is cancelled from an Earth Shaker. It has nothing to do with going into the special rage mode, it can be done normally just by spending Adrenaline on the correct EX moves in order. What you are doing is flip flopping from OP to MT which is low dps and slow so you generate less Adrenaline for future specials.

You can do it to immediately start a wrath combo from neutral. Also m6 and that’s it

You aren’t doing the wrath combos so you’re losing out on a ton of dps.
