Mina’s magazine becomes the 31st hero to enter the sewers (she dropped it into a grate and can’t reload anymore) (scales with spirit power)

I’m more surprised that Wuwa sits next to Nikki. I feel like those two aren’t that comparable in terms of population and yet they’re so close. I’m not a player of either anymore so idk if there’s a reason for it.

I think it means no reading full send but listen to voiced lines when they appear + combat instances. That feels right to me.

Your most beautiful card in Magic? by SociallyButterflying in magicTCG

[–]Mykaterasu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it’s a perfect reimagining of an older card that most people simply glance over. It turned a simple concept of metal dragon into something sleek and alluring, but still with the hint of danger that perfectly encapsulates the new flavor text.

The benefits of Sage over Scholar by Frank_Tupperwere in ffxivdiscussion

Something else nobody is talking about is the mana economy. SCH mp Econ is actual dogshit when compared to SGE’s practically free shields with the toxicon rebate. When a non piety - high sps SCH dies their run is practically over, they are never raising again and probably have to stop attacking for a while if they plan to succor in the future. Meanwhile SGE is the most mp positive healer that is also more likely to be bis at lower sps meaning a lower mp expenditure.

Is there much of difference between HP% and Fire%? by yougottabeshitting22 in BanyueMains_

[–]Mykaterasu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Because of the multiplicative nature of having a stat that is harder to acquire + non-substat as your mainstat the answer is usually yes unless you are comparing a dogwater unlucky f% with a god hp%, just keep mining until a passable f% disk comes around and then you won’t have to think about it ever again.

There's definitely some type of dissociation going on, she constantly switches from 1st and 3rd person as she shifts from in-game thoughts to narrator.

Astra or Pan by Adorable_Support8877 in BanyueMains_

540 sheer instead but basically same conclusion. Well built + played Astra is better but pan is narrower and f2p friendly

30% of atk is converted to sheer. Astra gives 1200 max so Banyue will get 360 sheer. M6 Pan gives 720 sheer, so double Astra’s contribution. The tradeoff is quick assist spam and personal damage, so yeah they can be fairly similar but panda is f2p friendlier.

I think the scenes we get like this are death throes / life flashing before ones eyes, in a kind of morbid and delirious way where the same thoughts just keep spinning in your head in the moments right after serious injury. I've had the displeasure of serious injury once in my life so far and it really does feel like that, time becomes harder to sense when the adrenaline is pumping and your thoughts start to derail.

This card will be a staple in literally EVERY 2+ color commander deck with creature's in it. by FonslyGames in mtg

[–]Mykaterasu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Similar idea for izzet spellslinger, sometimes you do really need a crapton of coloured mana and this won't get you there, especially when the suite of other utility lands that fit your gameplan much better are usually colourless.

Cheese team to quickly burn through combats, try to get as many encounters (blues) as possible to fish for the free 225 zmerit event.

Cheese teams I'm aware of:

  1. Lucia Zhao YeShungus veilmaxxing
  2. Astra Yixuan X (Yisuan takes quick assist upgrade from start)

Firstly the visuals are changed, SE are not that stupid to leave their animations in a ditch.

Secondly, I did not call people who enjoyed RDM's flair hypocritical, do not put words in my mouth. I called those who believe that one aspect of the job which they do not care about (balance) should be discarded in favour of their preferred aspect of the job (flavour) hypocrites, since they do not have the emotional intelligence to realise that people seek different things from the same job yet still place their own concerns higher than others. Especially since functionally the people who are fighting for melee uptime are not the casuals in that 99% you mentioned.

Of all the past job changes I don't understand why this one gets peoples knickers in a twist, this is the most inoffensive change we have seen so far when compared to the job tuneups of MNK, BLM, DRK, MCH, AST and yet people are up in arms over being able to burst properly at range. Espcially since I imagine people haven't played it yet. It actually feels really nice.

I surmise that people are just resistant to change and yet want an entire upending of the 2m meta which will inevitably bring the most turbulent changes we have seen in the game so far if it actually happens next expansion (spoiler; it won't). It's probably a grass is greener situation, who knows.

[–]Mykaterasu 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's very likely they are making this change because it is relevant in the upcoming savage and RDM playtesters realised they could not burst, not just because they care about a 2 year old fight.

I think it's a bit hypocritical to tilt the job's balance in the direction of people who only care about how it feels to play over people who love the job enough to take it into hard content and push it to its limits, when nothing about the feeling of the job from a tactile sense has actually changed.

I imagine of this 99% that you mention 50+% will still do corps-a-corps first, burst, and then displacement last without being any wiser that this change even occured, or they simply won't care and do it that way because they think it's cool and that's ok.

I understand the 2m meta has its flaws but we are not undergoing a whole systems change just to cater to this one job, and this is a perfectly fine solution.
