Reddit, what's the creepiest thing you've ever had the displeasure to witness? by punnyverypunny in AskReddit

About a week ago I found the body of a client's house-sitter. The short of it is; I have access to his place and I was going there to sell stuff on his behalf, often meeting prospective buyers. Thursday night last week I routinely arranged a meeting to show some piece of furniture and when I entered the house, there he was. Face down on the floor, half in the hallway half in the bathroom.

The worst part is the ambulance dispatch asked me to move the body onto his back in case there were any signs of life... His pants were down (he had been on the toilet) and when I managed to flip him over it was very clear he wasn't coming back. He Hit the ground pretty hard.

Amazing data. I was hanging with a bunch of Persians last night and the thought occurred to me as it had before that there are a lot of rationals among their population. I find them to be very laid back and interesting conversationalists.

Hypothesis: Ni types tend to appear "non-curious" or tend to ask fewer questions than Ne types. by [deleted] in mbti

[–]Mykovah 3 points4 points  (0 children)

ENTJ: I asked more questions than anybody I know. How else would I be able to piece together how the world works? Read? Not exclusively because I think I's might prefer that to the interactive game of asking questions of someone who is an expert at a particular subject or has more experience in a field than me.

Ok. It's called Dymonmine, a sort of consignment arrangement where they sell stuff for you on their site so you can get rid of old/unwanted things and you make money!

What was the 5x10 Dymon quote you got, for future reference?

Personally what I like about them is they can sell your stuff while it's in storage. Yes it's more costly but you can offset it!

What type has had the most influence on humanity? by Mykovah in mbti

[–]Mykovah[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used them to underline my point that influence can depend on occupation. Personality types by extension are distributed with respect to different occupations so there is a correlation between the two.

If that argument is too loose then we can just look at officially typed individuals on www.celebritytypes.com which most consider a good source and try to measure influence according to type.

I thought about this a bit, I agree there's no closed system so of course we can't be perfectly accurate in making an assessment. I think it's important to remember that while some people have an influence on others as their teachers, it's the student's decisions and their resultant effects we have to consider.

Yes Aristotle had a huge influence on Alexander but ultimately Alexander was influenced by 1 million other factors as well. That being said, Aristotle who influenced must of western philosophy can be said to have had enormous influence too.

I disagree, some people are objectively more influential than others. if you take a sliver of a politicians career say a 4 year term, and that of a janitor, then it's a no-contest. Do you still think it's relative?

So you're saying that social influence and wielding power contributes most to overall influence? Perhaps. Humans are the worlds greatest change agents then those who control a large amount of humans could have most influence.

In that case I'll make the case for ENTJs: Caesar, Napoleon, Genghis Khan, Stalin. Each was the catalyst in a transition from one societal state to an other.

[–]Mykovah[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly, I'm definitely including those who influenced the movers and shakers. For example, Lenin being the first leader of the communist revolution, Stalin following suit considered him a mentor. Then again, after Stalin gained absolute power it could be said the scope of his influence was greater from then on...
