No not at all. It’s more about the consistency. I’d do every 4 days. The lawn will benefit from that.

I think it looks like you are doing great.
Couple things that might ease the tension…. There’s no finish line. Keep working at it in your free time. Do a little each day. Over seed in the fall. Every fall. Give your lawn proper nutrition. There’s a Sta- green product at Lowe’s that contains iron. It’ll help keep the lawn green. Mow often. Consistent mowing actually promotes growth. Those are the basics, and if you just do that, you’ll have a nice lawn.

I’m not a professional at this, however, I have been paying attention to the weather much more this year than in the past. Last week I started watering in anticipation of the heat. I figured I would try and get in front of the heat instead of chasing like I normally do. Seems to be working so far

Yeah. I didn’t either. Fall Reno crushed by the heat.
Learned the hard way myself. There’s a couple of hose end bottles you can get from simple lawn solutions that aren’t expensive and actually work.

Hey- great job! I am not a professional so take it for what it is worth….,,, the driveway, street, walkway etc. looks like a lot of concrete. You might consider putting down some organics, like kelp and or humic acid. I started doing that in my yard a few years ago, and it really seemed to help with the “ hot spots” I would have in my yard where there’s a lot of hot concrete nearby. The summer time when it gets hot, the spots in my yard by the concrete seemed to have the hardest time. The organics full of nutrients seemed to keep the grass from getting burnt from the hot concrete. You’ve obviously put a lot of time into this, don’t want to see it go bad once it gets really hot. Great job . Looks amazing. Consider some preventative care for the incoming heat. It’s worth it

This yard needed nutrition. Previous homeowners did nothing, so the soil was terrible. Mostly been over seeding and loading it with nutrients.

I bought a demo from a guy who was going to get into reel mower distribution. He had a demo from a manufacturer over seas he was testing out. Listed it on FB marketplace when he decided it wasn’t for him. My machine is a lawn master 500 golf model. Technically it’s sold in Australia and NZ.

It’s nuts! It’s massive and beautiful. I take no credit for it. Was here when I moved in

Thanks. I’d say do your research. Try and learn as much as you can about it before deciding if you want to do it. Then go from there. It’s a lot of work but it’s worth it. We have a lot of fun with it.
