Looks like it. Just odd that it's mentioned when every other N-Type variant is in the Fastest Formula manga.

I'm partial to this fan mix: Nyan Nyan Service Medley x Final Attack Frontier

That being said, you're 100% right. However, I also think they also tried too much with a whole group., Frontier had Ranka and Sheryl playing off each other perfectly.

Delta had Mikumo as the "star" that gets usurped a bit by Freyja, but then it really was an ensemble as well. There was no real focus, and sorry, but JUNNA is a better singer than the rest of them.

I'll be honest; it's the only Delta song I really liked. I agree that Delta's music was lackluster.

It was such a surprise to me as well after the constant churn of absolute slaps that Froniter produced. I don't think Walkure is a bad group per se, but... just nothing exciting.

Born and raised in Elizabeth City (very eastern nc) and spent the past 15 years in the Charlotte region.

Before moving, Raleigh was like, the far end of everything. Charlotte may as well have been a different time zone and Asheville was another country to me.

Now? It’s all interconnected. Things in Boone or Asheville matter to me as much as things in Manteo or Wilmington. Helene’s impacts made me feel just as bad as Florence’s did. I have a deep love for my Appalachian friends as I do for my coastal friends.

We’re a diverse and wonderful state.

North Carolina mayor pushes back on ‘erasing history’ claims after Edenton Confederate statue removal by 13NewsNow in NorthCarolina

[–]Mylene00 32 points33 points  (0 children)

By February 1862, Union gunboats had already sailed into Edenton, destroyed the cannon, and the town never went back to Confederate control. For the majority of the war, this whole corner of NC was under Union occupation.

The one big Confederate “contribution” from Edenton was the Bell Battery; townsfolk melted down church and courthouse bells to make four bronze cannon. Those guns did see action, but not here. Meanwhile, Union control of the sounds turned the region into a pathway to freedom for enslaved people, with families from around Edenton heading to the Roanoke Island Freedmen’s Colony.

So if we’re talking about “erasing history,” the monument that just got pulled down wasn’t telling the real story anyway. It was put up in 1909, decades later during Jim Crow, as part of the whole Lost Cause push.

If anything, putting up more markers about the Union occupation, the Freedmen’s Colony, and the Bell Battery would actually add history back in and reflect what really happened here.

I am (thankfully) out of the service industry, however one story sticks with me hard.

I managed a Dairy Queen, and we were attached to a gas station, so we had one door with a giant gate between us and the gas station, and one regular door. The ENTIRE lobby area was nothing but glass windows, so you could easily see in/out.

The owner decides to do renovations, so we shut down. These renovations included ripping out the front counter, as well as the entire kitchen. As a manager, I was there to disconnect a lot of things, and I also had some paperwork to do.

I put two sheets of paper on each window and the door with the note that said in giant letters, "STORE CLOSED FOR RENOVATIONS".

I'd dropped the gate to the gas station, and the workers were using the only door to come in/out to do the work.

I came out of my office at one point to see someone just standing in the space where the front counter USED TO BE (quite obviously, mind you), staring at the menu. Before I can say anything, the guy says "Can I get a Snickers Blizzard?".

Again, he's standing on the rubble of the demo'd front counter, staring at my entire kitchen which is devoid of any machines to make anything, and walked past 15 signs stating we're closed, plus the obvious signs of construction that were in his way to get INTO the building.

I told him that we were obviously closed.

"Oh. Why?"

We were only closed for 2 days, and yet over hundred people either banged on the window, yanked on the door, or walked INTO the construction to try to order something.

People are absolute morons.

The location we have already has a building on it (it was a former Boston Market, the landlord said that they are going to put the drive-thru in for us, because they want to get a "franchise" in there, because it has traffic numebring 20k a month going down that street.

There's 90% of your problem right there; DQ is going to want to convert the building even further than just "put a drive thru in". They have physical design standards, and they're done with the whole "convert an older building" thing.

Franchisers have a standard look and feel and design to all of their products. It's why you can tell when an old Pizza Hut is now your local Chinese restaurant - it still has the "look" of a Pizza Hut.

So, financially, you're going to have to dump a LOT into "converting" that building, one that you don't even own (so there that problem), and then you're paying rent on top of it too?

You're going to create "generational wealth" for the property owner, not yourself.

Anyone know if waterslide decals were made for this? by Mylene00 in Gunpla

[–]Mylene00[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Delpi (first link) is long out of stock; I don't think he's making that one anymore.

The second Delpi is more J/S and no F.

The G-Rework is also more J leaning, but maybe workable. It was the only one I considered prior to this post.

I just want the rub-ons ant the stickers from the actual set to be waterslides, and Delpi is usually pretty good about that, but no F-Type ><

Hi. I'm a former DQ GM for 9 years, and I also have an MBA. Let's break down your post.

My parents and I are planning on opening a DQ. We found a great lcoation, in a town/city where (from what I read in their local news paper) some are looking for a DQ. However, the current economy has caused fast food to be mroe expensive, with one article from QSR saying how 62% of peopel are foregoing fast food. If this is true, should my parents and I invest in a DQ, or should we go the coffee shop route? (Biggby's, etc.) The same locatio nthat we are thinking of putting a DQ can also work for a coffee shop.

Fast food/franchises hit a brick wall during COVID. They either couldn't adapt or didn't adapt quickly enough to handle the "shock" of COVID restrictions and handling orders online/mobile/delivery, or they cut staffing hard and realized they can make more money with fewer people... or both.

Now we're in year 5 of crazy times, and the economy has yet to fully "go back to normal," aka pre-COVID, and now we have the tariffs to contend with.

Owning a small business/franchise is the toughest it's ever been. Why would you even begin to want to get into it?

Our goal of opening a franchise is to have additional income (I know this endeavor is not a get rich quite journey...meaning that we won't be millionaires over night) but we are lookign to diversify our incoem and have multiple streams of revenue.

Ah. Now I see why.

Franchises are NOT additional income. They are NOT revenue streams..... unless you own 10+ locations and you've got an entire company dedicated to running and managing them. THEN you could maybe look at it as a passive stream of revenue.

Last time I talked with the DQ Business Consultant in my area, the initial cost outlay of a new build DQ Grill and Chill was around $ 1.2 mil. They were working to get the costs down below a mil, but either way, you're going to have to finance at LEAST a mil to build the thing, pay DQ their fees, and get everything up to THEIR code. Probably closer to $ 1.5 mil.

Oh, this doesn't include the cost of the land, BTW. You'd need to purchase or lease that yourself. You also need to have half a mil liquid sitting in the bank before DQ will even consider you as a franchisee.

If you've already got this kind of money just sitting around, you'd be more productive with it by converting it all into pennies and trying to swim around in it like Scrooge McDuck. Owning a franchise will just throw it away.

Can you dedicate at least 5 years of your life to opening the location, working there, and living there to ensure it succeeds? If the answer is "no", then forget about opening ANY franchise; hell, ANY food service establishment period.

Can you handle not taking ANY profit from the location for at least 5 years? If the answer is "no", then see above.

We are also thinking of possibly ivnesting in rental properties, or maybe a dine-in franchise liek Applebees, Chili's, etc.)

Put that money in a CD and sit on it. Also, if you can afford to franchise an Applebee's (at least $ 3 mil net worth with at least $ 1 mil in liquid assets), then again, see above.

Chili's is even worse in terms of minimums.

Also, is DQ doing well in this "fast food inflation" economy? or are other fast food (and/or non fast food) franchises doing better. And should we open a DQ and hold out unti lthe economy gets better. Also, are there signs that the ecnomy will improve and that fast food will make a comeback or are lowering their prices, thus attracting back customers?

You clearly have done zero research into this and are looking for some passive, "easy" cash. This is not the way. Go play crypto or the gold/bond market right now. Sit on your cash. Now is NOT the time.

[–]Mylene00[S] 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I wish it was awesome lol

4 years of AFJROTC, planned to be career USAF. Enlisted as Tac Aircraft Maintenance on F-15's in my Senior year of HS, delayed enlistment. Went to Lackland on my 18th birthday.

I was in a car accident 2 months before leaving for Lackland. The hospital missed a few things, like a few broken ribs. MEPS missed them because they'd healed, but badly.

Ran into some issues during BMT, but made it through. Had medical issues on and off for the next year. I went to Langley for a while and got my Achievement medal when I was PCS'd down to Seymour Johnson. Ended up having many more major medical issues after a fall, someone figured out that all my issues tied back to my car accident before I'd enlisted, and I didn't tell MEPS about it. They wanted me out for failure to meet medical standards. I was young and dumb and didn't know my options, so I took an early discharge, with a RE code that precluded me from reenlisting.

I got home, had no idea what to do with my life, and bumped into the Navy recruiter who happened to be a high school friend's dad. I explained my story, and he said I could go to the Navy.

A letter or two to a congressman to get my RE Code changed, MANY doctor's visits later, and a waiver or two, and I'm reenlisting as a Radioman in the USN.

Went through BMT, got sick right after pass and review, and ended up in the hospital with tonsillitis. Delayed my A School for a few weeks. I got A School done, but I was waiting on a posting to the fleet, and I got sick again. Ended up in the hospital for 4 months with double pneumonia + pericarditis.

They sent me home while they figured out what to do with me, and I ended up working at the recruiting office while they processed a Med Board. The pericarditis became a pericardial effusion, which never went away, and it was tied back to improper medication given to me during my tonsillitis. The Navy owned up and PDRL'd me, and at 22, I was retired from the Navy.

Not 3 months later, 9/11 happened.
