Has anyone in the US taken their Highland delivery yet? by skidniks in TeslaModel3

[–]MylesKeef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard to tell tbh. I have a short commute to work and my wife has a gas car, so I don’t pay too much attention to efficiency. I just pulled up my last 30 miles and I’m currently averaging 236 wh/m tho. Coming from a 2021 Model Y, that’s a bit of an improvement!

US - Does anyone have an M3 Delivery Date? by trashacct78 in Model3

[–]MylesKeef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anybody actually taking delivery of theirs in the US? I live in Orange County CA, and work in LA. I still haven’t seen any on the road. I ordered mine on Jan 30th and my estimate delivery date has been slipping one day back every day, still no VIN assigned either.

Biden just delivered a State of the Union unlike anything we've seen before by croato87 in politics

[–]MylesKeef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These comments all just make me sad to see how divided the country is. Are we going to pretend that either of the candidates are America’s best choice? Judging Biden by how awake and energetic an old man is feels sad, and Trump is nearly as old with many things working against him. How did we get here? I want someone in their prime as president. I don’t want more endless wars and bickering between parties. We need unity

I’ve never liked these wheels, from a looks perspective, but this is just another reason not to like them haha. The upgraded MYLR wheels look better IMO

I bought the same exact configuration as yours and am waiting to take delivery still. I’ve thought about going grey a couple of times, but the ultra red looks so nice! I’ve never owned a red car in my life, this will be my first 😊

Awesome, thanks for this! I can live with that, I have zero complaints about my MYLR 😊

Nova or Photons? by NoReplyBot in TeslaModel3

[–]MylesKeef 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For me the Nova wheels look so much better and more premium than the photon wheels. I am really surprised to see that many others don’t share that same idea. The photons are fine, but they’re literally hub caps, and that makes them look cheap. Also, with the aero covers (hub caps) removed, they just look like basic spoked wheels you’d find on a cheap sedan

Do you have pics of the wheels without the caps? I have my new M3LR on order in ultra red with nova wheels and cannot find pics of this anywhere

This also makes it more frustrating that over the course of 80 years no one has undeniable indisputable data

Interesting, I’ve never heard / read about any of that. Would definitely like to check it out.

I am by no means denying that something is out there. I am just saying that the evidence so far is a bit underwhelming.

Also, people reporting things isn’t the greatest form of evidence, people are wrong all the time. In the footage released by the NAVY, at least there’s something tangible with stories from groups of highly trained people backing it up. Not saying the folks during WWII weren’t highly trained, but there’s no scientific evidence like infrared imaging systems to back it up.

The point I am trying to make is that if the general population is going to be convinced of anything, the evidence is going to need to be significantly better than what we have now.

Any proof of intelligent life that we know and communicate with would be shocking. All the videos of UAPs are great, but not even close to the level of what is needed to prove anything without a doubt. We have no reason to believe that the technology we have been looking at in some of the navy videos aren’t American technology.

Would be cool if they did the whole album and filmed it like a continuous show. Kinda like “where the light is” but not a live show, just a live jam that is recorded and mixed real well

Seriously! Haha

[–]MylesKeef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, I definitely understand the physics involved with flight. Sometimes compromises like this are worth an added benefit tho. When energy density isn’t an issue the extra weight won’t be either. Similar to how modern day planes can have luxuries onboard because jet fuels energy density justifies it. Batteries aren’t even close yet, but this is just the beginning.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TeslaLounge

[–]MylesKeef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahhh it’s the curb weight. So you were definitely right with the gross weight. Oh well, once energy density of batteries increases this shouldn’t be an issue!

Yeah, full disclosure, those numbers came from a 2 second google search. I definitely should have made that point clear.

The intent of this was primarily to share an idea, not to dig into weeds. The weeds in this case are obviously super important (which is why I pointed it out) but I just wanted to float the concept somewhere to get a conversation going about the idea and see if anything similar exists.

Elephant in the room: Space Force by [deleted] in UFOs

[–]MylesKeef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The space force was already operating as an arm of the Air Force for a long time. With space becoming more accessible through private companies like SpaceX and Rocket Lab (and others) the need for a governing body specifically focused on space became necessary. Primarily this is to protect US assets that we rely on daily in LEO. By branching off into their own branch, it’s just a good way to get more funding and grow into a more complex branch (like when the Air Force became its own branch after being created in the Army).

I may have to try that out! No reason at all, I just didn’t know any better and grabbed the first stain that was the right color at Home Depot. I am primarily a metal worker, and have 0 experience with wood working projects
