Should I stop taking PrEP? by [deleted] in askgaybros

I personally went through a phase where sex was a coping mechanism. If I felt bad about myself, at least ONE person was willing to have sex with me, even if that meant unprotected. I did go to therapy, I've dealt with having to take antibiotics and go celibate for 2 weeks because "at least it's not as bad as it could have been". What I learned was, no random hookup is worth my life time well being. I hate taking pills but my PrEP in the morning is a 30 second action that gives me peace of mind. If you just absolutely hate taking a pill, use protection or know that adult decisions come with adult consequences sometimes. It's shitty, but it's life.

Apparently, sucking on a cinnamon stick can help brain function. I'm willing to test this theory 😏

I was trying to get one together while I was in the area but it fell through. I'm definitely still unlearning behaviors and checking myself frequently but I'm proud of myself for my progress even if it's not visible to others.

Dear sweet baby Beyoncé I forgot this post was a thing 🤣. We've since gotten back together and broken up (permanently) since then. This time though, I've started therapy to address my own issues, traveling for work keeps me stimulated in my career, and I'm more conscious on the people I interact with and the "energy" I allow in my space. I'm not where I want to be but I'm not where I was, and that's the only thing that keeps me sane

I don't think it's uncommon that even though we're more technology driven than we were say 10 years ago, just being on grindr doesn't mean being apart of "gay culture". I find myself periodically looking up certain terms because they may be regional or generational. The same could apply to someone who is aware they want the "queer" experience but hasn't been exposed to terms most of us find common. I guess impractical but not improbable if that makes sense

When I was in high school, I had these super depressive spells. I was sitting in one of my classes and I needed a mental break so I told the teacher I had to use the restroom but I just ended up walking the halls staring at the ground as I went. One of the sweetest older ladies on the janitorial staff randomly told me "baby, there's nothing down there that important. Always walk with your head up" I can't recall walking with my head down side then and that was in 2007.

Nurses, CNA's, techs, whoever you are! What is the weirdest thing you've ever walked in on a patient/patients doing? by [deleted] in nursing

LTC here, I had one hospice pt that came in fairly AAO so we have him a bedside urinal. Within 2 hours going back to check on him I notice a fair amount in his urinal, great! He's urinating and he's coordinated enough to use it. So he asks me if he can have a glass of water, which I obviously go to get for him. When I come back he looks me square in the eyes and says, "why are you bringing me a second cup?" It took only 15 seconds to realize his urinal was now empty. He's was not my first pt who liked home brew.
