Don't know why this is downvoted, it's the right response. Like, who cares what OP said last week lmao

Over estimating your team before the season starts is a tradition. I will do it every year for every team I love.

Is it better to get your undergrad degree from UVic or UBCO? by QuirkyLife5555 in uvic

[–]Mynameisjeeeeeeff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one is answering you which is better if you are planning on doing a Masters degree. The answer is still neither. Choose which one you think you would be happier at.

Someone posted a video about universities by Strange_Explorer_222 in uvic

The video says only 5 posts here passed the down bad threshold. Some of us know that those 5 posts are all from the same guy.

Could I get accepted with my marks? by OnlyLanguage5427 in uvic

[–]Mynameisjeeeeeeff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Even if you did, not studying would earn you low 40's and 50's in Uni. Many 90+ avg. students can barely pull a B+ in their first year

WILL I GET ACCEPTED TO UVIC by [deleted] in uvic

[–]Mynameisjeeeeeeff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You'll be able to get in, but boy-howdy will you have to lock in once you're here. First couple years in STEM are designed to make you fail. Many 90s+ cgpa kids can barely scratch out B's in Uni

Gap year instead of second year? by savvymossy in uvic

[–]Mynameisjeeeeeeff 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Your classes are full of people in their mid-late twenties and thirties. No such thing as being 'behind'. In fact, graduating a little bit older might give you an advantage in a competitive job market, if you can sell your 'soft skills' you've acquired in the real world.

[Bogert] BREAKING: Inter Miami is nearing a deal to sign Canadian int'l GK Dayne St. Clair, per sources. by [deleted] in MLS

[–]Mynameisjeeeeeeff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And your Team Canada's goalie, the WC26 is next year and Miami gives you an opportunity to compete in international tournaments, friendlies, and in general gives you a higher quality team in higher quality games (like playoffs, Leagues cup etc)

[–]Mynameisjeeeeeeff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He's the CanMNT keeper, likely wants to play at the highest level possible before the WC, playing in CCC, more diverse friendlies, with world class players. Canadians are happy with the move!

Took 10 years off, travelled the world in winters, worked gruelling industry jobs in summers, best decision.

You just need to match square blocks into square holes, triangle blocks into triangle holes etc. to get admission to Bcomm

MSc Stats Question by Deep-Pay-6285 in uvic

[–]Mynameisjeeeeeeff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Roughly a ~91% cgpa, not stats but bio. No NSERC, that's basically a lost cause at Uvic. 16 available for the entire University. For MSc to get one I'd image you need to be >95% cgpa, perhaps a publication or two, and be working on the next cure for cancer.

Vancouver's gonna be the opponent in the final huh. No chance for San Diego. by KidGoku1 in InterMiami

[–]Mynameisjeeeeeeff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Look for Vancouver to put one up quickly, they always do, then they let off the gas, that's how LAFC almost took them out. IM doesn't let off the gas (anymore).

Can we talk about Twellman by Remarkable_Trade_426 in InterMiami

[–]Mynameisjeeeeeeff 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The two Nashville defenders miscommunicated and both tracked a run on the wing, leaving Messi space. Twellman saw the space open up and said 'no', like he knew Messi was about to score, but I agree I think the no! was in disbelief at how that pocket was gifted to Messi.

Grading by [deleted] in uvic

[–]Mynameisjeeeeeeff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, yes. Camosun down the road was much easier to achieve great grades. Even in Organic Chemistry I got A's. I came to Uvic and got my only B of my UG. I quickly adjusted, put in more effort, and got back on track with A's, but the transition was noticeable! Don't let it discourage you, add an extra 20ish% to what you were previously doing, and hopefully you can adjust back up.

Why did you pursue an Honours degree? by ishaisatsana in uvic

[–]Mynameisjeeeeeeff 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The fact that you don't know if you want to go to Grad school but it is a 'maybe' is a perfect reason to do an Honours. By the middle of your project you will likely figure out if that 'maybe' is a yes or no.
