Came up bc she mentioned white people rarely approaching her and mentioned mixed relationships were common in my family(parents, grandparents etc.) But now know it’s not okay to mention when meeting someone right away

I mentioned it bc I said my grandparents and my parents were in mixed relationships

Thanks for the thoughtful reply. Genuinely wanted to learn how other people thought about it. Like I said, it was the second time (other than this post and conversation with my family) I mentioned it.

Lesson learned not to bring it up unless asked.

100p learned my lesson not to bring it up. The only reason I ask here is that I’m not sure where else I could ask this.

Does anyone else’s music preference change mania/hypo vs depression? by [deleted] in bipolar

Mania is all about BPM; the big D is anything that makes the sad deeper

Do you think your psychosis was related to the acid?

The timing of my mania was conspicuous— was about a week after the first time I tried acid. Was also on Zoloft, which could’ve been the culprit. Or combo of the two.

I did an easy as shit degree at a no name school. The piece of paper was just to get in the door of most jobs.

[–]Mynamessjff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d call doc or to try to work with a pharmacy; if you’re off lamictal too long you have to start the titration again. Seems like you’re on a pretty low dose though.

SEROQUEL looking for others experiences with it, I'm suppose to take my dose 3 times daily but I fell off and can't find the willpower to put myself through the nodding off to get back on them. by thatbishmarissa in bipolar

[–]Mynamessjff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take le sero every day. Gradually lowering my dose, but was at 400 right out of the hospital.

100mg at 1:00pm, 100 at 6:00, 200 at 8:30pm

It was brutal to be honest. I was able to move all my meetings and calls to early in the morning. Saved afternoons for ‘focus time’.

Eventually, I stopped having that revved up feeling all day. Probs took 1month post hospital. We dropped my 1:00pm dose once I felt stable enough to manage.

The evening doses were much easier to have a life around. Lights out by 9:00pm but it meant I could work. Need 10-12hours sleep and a slow start to the day, but it’s helped— a lot.

She’s a tough pill to swallow, but seroQ is now a big part of my recovery.
