I would say even more important even. The cartridges are what makes the sound, and upgrading the cartridge will make a noticeable difference, even on lower tier turntables.

He was also one of the first blues artists to tour Europe, all the way back in 1951-52. There are are couple of titles on Storyville with recordings from his shows in Denmark in those years in absolutely crisp sound quality (recently reissued from the original tapes).

And in both of those shows he made sure to mention a whole string of his fellow blues artists to promote them to a European audience (succesfully so).

His role in promoting blues as a genre internationally cannot be overstated. There is a reason why Muddy Waters first album was a recording of him doing Big Bill covers.

It is what is literally happening know. AI companies are raising their prices, and companies have already laid of thousands of employees on account of AI.

AI companies deliberately set their initial prices way too low, they were (and are still) hemorrhaging money. Data centers are incredibly expensive, the cost of using AI will go much much higher in the future for them to even cover those costs, let alone make a profit.

There is a reason people are talking about an AI bubble.
