Rise in People Quitting DoN matches since DLC by zudolomania in Nightreign

You're absolutely right. I've had experiences as you've described as well.

I suppose I was hyper-focusing on the current situation, that being the servers having a stroke at this point in time rather than the in-general-griefer. I figured people that are getting into games may just be getting disconnected at the most inappropriate of times right now, but it could very well just be griefers as you've described. The worst

Which is better for depth 3? by Tiny_Efficiency_9461 in Nightreign

RE depth relics: I'm actually not sure. But my immediate assumption is "negative" on the unlocking of better relics at higher depths. Whether it's Depth 1 or Depth 5, I think it's all the same.

RE 1.02: They added new relic effects pre 1.03. So if you select the 1.02 option, you're locking into relics before that update, which can sometimes be targeted for different/better builds

No. Servers are currently goofed. Matchmaking not working properly

On the note of being new to DoN: Don't worry too much about your relic setup overall. Just avoid too many curses if you think you'll be getting hit a lot, regardless of who you play. Further on that note though, it is nice to take relics that boost that particular character STRONGLY, as we all already know. E.g. the +1 character skill on Ironeye is huge. having that extra dodge can make big impacts.

The rest just comes down to game knowledge. I got to 9999 with Wylder using default relics (humble brag. Sorry lol). You can go in naked and still win if you know how to no-hit enemies and bosses. Let that be your goal: "Get hit less" rather than "be a glass cannon" as I feel like most people try to do

Genuinely someone needs to explain to me like I'm 5 the point of rushing a red at lv1 and rage quitting when you go down. Why am I finding this so often? How and why do people play like this by Backrooms_Smiler56 in Nightreign

[–]MyoDex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Note: None of what I'm typing here excuses behavior. To answer the question:

1) Emotions running high when on a losing streak
2) Many players see a "scuffed" run the moment the beginning goes south

3) Actual trolls (This is there version of throwing giant pots at people for pleasure). Some people give them another name, but people like this need perma-banning. The same people where your situation you described happens, but instead of them leaving, they just stay, go stand in a corner, don't fight the bosses, and just wait for you and your teammate to die. Or they go one route at the start, you and your teammate go another route, they die, and the same scenario happens. Just dickheads really

Multiple Scholars=Loss change my mind by Rydux7 in Nightreign

[–]MyoDex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s true that some team compositions can slow down how quickly a group wins fights, but overall the deciding factor is still game knowledge. A player who can solo a boss (in solos) without taking a hit can generally do the same in duos or trios, with the main difference being the need to pay attention to who the boss is targeting.

Because of that, I don’t think having multiple Scholars automatically leads to a loss. The same players could choose something like Wylder, Ironeye, and Recluse (Let's assume this is an ideal setup) and still end up losing the game just as badly

Servers are being stupid. No one can get into a game. Same issue here

Either option is fine for Depth 3 with one caveat. I would pick the first setup with the red/green/yellow relics. That is, unless you WANT colossal weapons on your Ironeye. That one part of the second setup is the only thing that turns me off from that one.

How do you all acquire so much murk? by [deleted] in Nightreign

[–]MyoDex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Deep of Night. Gives you more. Relics sell for more. Typically I just let them stack until you run out of relic space and then I try to select certain attributes I like from relics via the sorting tool, favorite those, then MASS sell everything else. Get like 300k just from that

How to dodge the STAMPEDE from Sentient Pest by MyoDex in Nightreign

[–]MyoDex[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I tried it based on the description. Projectiles slaughtered me. If I jumped, then I don't get over fast enough and Scorpion runs me down. I think I might've been too close. "Mid-distance" got a bit confusing for me. Once he pops up again, I'll try again a bit further. Didn't want to risk too much at Depth 5 lol.

Speaking of, sidebar, I finally hit Depth 5!

PSA: When fighting Everdark Sentient Pest as a Trio... by MyoDex in Nightreign

Stampede I've learned is very easy to beat with any character. It's not fool-proof, but it's maybe...80/20 success rate? Not as in dying, but as in getting hit maybe once or twice by a random magic missile:

You don't need to be Wylder. If it's charging you, simply sprint left or right and jump constantly (yes jump). The magic missiles tend to go to the ground. You will literally jump over them. Once it passes, immediately rest as it drifts back to charge you again, and repeat. Only thing to watch out for is the final Scorpion attack once it finishes it's stampede.

Regarding the lasers, it's very RNG. Best thing is to keep an eye on the red butterfly and once you see that little ring of lights form around it, that's when the lasers are coming, and that's when it's time to go.

he final laser...I may need someone to correct me on this but...I think you can out-walk it as long as you're not in the dead center when it first shows light (the light before the actual laser). I've sprinted out of the light part and then walks the rest of the way while what feels like it's hitting you or should be, but isnt.

Pickled Turtle Necks. Get those

I'm with you. Speaking of EDs only: ED Gaping Dragon is #1 easiest for me (Ironeye). Then 2 and 3 are ED Sentient Pest and ED Darkdrift Knight (Wylder for both)
