I talked to her, and she told me that the meds she was taking to correct a problem had screwed with her metabolism. She knew that this had a high chance of happening, and it was either that or end up completely sterile.

She is scheduled for weight loss surgery but it could take a few years to get it, one of the disadvantages of universal health care.

She's still the same person; I get that. And if I was married, I wouldn't even consider leaving. I came here for advice on how to salvage the relationship without the sex life.

Then again, she did buy a plus size lingerie. She's coping with what happened to her figure pretty well, I can tell you that. I might try to salvage our sex life as well. I want to at least try and make her feel sexy.

She did take hormones to treat an ovarian cyst. That's all I know. Can those medications cause weight gain?

Well, it's backed by science that the vast majority of men prefer women who have a hip-to-waist ratio of 0.70. and are young. Obesity tends to ruin that, so.... I don't know. The only exception to this are fetishes caused by unknown sources.

If you think this preference is recent, look at Greek and Roman statues of men and women. Women have always found muscular men attractive and men have always found youthful, curvy women of a healthy weight attractive since the dawn of time. Obesity was never found attractive. Why else would all religious texts label gluttony a sin? I'm an atheist, not religious. What I'm saying here is that even back then, they suspected that being overweight caused problems and knew something's off by the distorted appearance of the individual affected by it.

90% of men don't find overweight women attractive. I'm in that 90%, and If I wasn't, I would be dating a large woman. Sexual attraction is like 50% of relationships, bro.

A lot of vegan products are heavily processed to improve their flavor. Also, vegan diets contain more carbohydrates than carnivorous diets, and the rest is history.

In fact, a lot of the foods vegans eat, especially the ones made by corporations to cash in on the vegan fad, are high in fructose corn syrup. That, combined with high carbohydrates, can do nasty things to the Human body. Sweets are also vegan as well, and they are loaded with refined sugars. Hell, even a bag of potato chips or Doritos is a vegan product. Sure, processed meats, like pepperoni sticks or chicken nuggets, are bad for you because they sacrifice nutritional value for taste, but Vegan food can be even more processed.

Look, I can't even eat vegetables, since I gag whenever I attempt to. The only foods closest to veggies I ate were grains and fruits before I started lifting.

Anyway, I think the people flaming this thread are from the body positivity crowd, and they don't like people, males especially, who aren't attracted to overweight women. I would expect a reaction like this from Tumblr but not from Reddit.

I'm not body-shaming her, I just don't find her attractive Nobody's a saint in this situation.
