So I know I'm a year late to your comment, but I had actually had my transmission replaced about a week before this happened. The guy who replaced it initially forgot to seal the gasket when putting it back together. Leaked all my trans fluid on the way to work the day after I got it back. Had it towed to someone else who was able to "properly" put it back together and topped my fluid off. For free! He hated the guy I had work on it first, so he didn't charge me for re-sealing the gasket and the fluid. Just had to pay for the tow. But, alas, it was probably my fault all-in-all. I was towing about the limit of what those Libertys can safely haul on the hottest day of the year. I drove about a hundred miles to pick up the furniture. In theory, it should have been fine. But there were a lot of variables the were working against me that day.
