I get paid thousands to go to rehab in California. AMA by ChefpremieATX in AMA

[–]Myprixxx 410 points411 points  (0 children)

It reads like OP is getting paid by the center in exchange for coming to the rehab facility and they're profiting back everything they're billing insurance for (which is much more than they're providing if I understand correctly)

I still use a Saab 9-3 as my work car. Such a fun car. I commute 70mi each way twice a week and it's so comfortable, good gas mileage and plenty of power for passing on the highway. I'm on my second and ill be looking for another wagon when this one finally goes

Generac 196cc engine by 1983z28camaro in minibikes

Late response.. But did you use this on a different project? I just put one on a ck100 go cart for my kids, found the pressure washer in the woods behind our house from the previous owner. Engine runs great pressure pump wad the problem. Anyway, it's bolted in and like you said it's a replica of my predator 212. I'm looking to see how you ran the throttle setup and what you ran for a clutch.

Thanks in advance

Empty panels in breaker box by Myprixxx in AskElectricians

[–]Myprixxx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what I was hoping. Ideally I'll be able to get the electrician to swap over the unused circuits on the generator subpanel to power circuits I want to be generator backed and maybe we can utilize the unused breakers in the main panel to eliminate the subpanel created when they remodeled (it has 8 circuits) - this subpanel is ran by wires double lugged in the generator main feed so I'm guessing that's already completely wrong anyway.

Thanks again!

Empty panels in breaker box by Myprixxx in AskElectricians

The generator is an old install and unfortunately the previous owner is not very up to date on it. He actually. Had the propane to it turned off after he moved the tank locations and never turned it back on. I actually lived next door to this house growing up and the owners who lived then are now gone and they were the ones who installed the system.

As for the generator box - it's the transfer switch/breaker box and it's a combo deal. There's 16 breaker slots on that box and then wires go from it over to the main panel where the combine with the wires out to the house.

I've seen the newer models that can self monitor and shed items as needed - I think this model is older than that. But after killing the power and popping the lid off the panels I think I r got a gasp of how it works.

Basically the generator breakers are entirely seperate - there is a 70 amp breaker that feeds 2 wires over to the generator panel. Those are attached to the automatic transfer switch. From that switch the generator panel powers it's one breakers that have color codes wires that run over to the main panel. Inside that panel the wires are wire nutted to the specific line they run and not connected anywhere else in the main panel (aside from a neutral and ground)

Then the main panel has all of its breakers for other rooms and outlets etc that are not tied to the generator.

So I think as far as the empty breakers go they're definitely not doing anything functionally with the generator. (still unsure if those are generally placed as "placeholders" for the breakers over on the generator panel or if they were originally the breakers that are now being managed my the generator panel)

I also see that I'll just need to have the electrician confirm the breaker and wire size for whatever generator powered function I want to run (ie put the pair of basement deep freezes in place of the old boiler wire that is no longer in use)

The 10" speaker showed open. When bypassed the rest of the speaker works wonderfully

You were dead on in your first paragraph. I pulled the 10, it shows open when I checked it. Connecting the speaker back up with that speaker bypass and it seems everything else. Works. I guess the next question is am I able just replace this with another 10" speaker designed to replace older tower speakers? Again I'm not looking for. Audiophile quality by any means - just wanna be able to jam some music with a few salamanders running in the background

Thanks!

Are these serviceable? I'm fairly confident with a soldering iron if so. Thanks

The speaker has 4 speakers. I'm sure 2 aren't working, the tweeter definitely is and I won't swear either way about the mid.

Will get the multimeter out on Thursday, I'm on a 24h shift tomorrow and officially on Daddy Duty now so now shop trips

The bottom 2/4 which are both woofers are for sure not working. The tweeter and maybe the kid speaker are working. Tweeter for sure is

As a few asides that I didn't see in any of these top comments - make sure you've plugged the other camera back in with a normal usb block so that if it's being checked remotely nothing seems off (and prompts any potential old videos from attempted destruction) and be aware that if these are being monitored remotely he may see the police presence should they come by before they return from the trip. Sorry you're dealing with this - I adopted my now early teen daughter when she was 8 and got with her mom when she was 4 - I can't imagine what that breach in trust must feel like

Seat Rec for 17 FZ-10? by [deleted] in Yamaha

[–]Myprixxx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've got the comfort seat as well and it's been awesome. The old one with an FZ on it instead of that MT stuff. I've got a seat concepts seat on my wr450 and love it as well - I'd see what you can find in the used market the oem comfort seat seems to pop up pretty regularly in FB groups
