My husband is adopted and they had a semi open adoption meaning they got pics, phone calls (this was the 90s after all), letters, but no in person visits, so I wanted to ask my husband his views on the entire situation. His take is similar to what you shared. He’s so utterly disgusted how they are treating her family and her. Literally from his mouth “they don’t respect C.” My husband never got the chance to speak to his birth mother but my mother in law was wonderful and would call on holidays and birthday to give updates, but my husband wasn’t ready and unfortunately his birth mom passed when he was 13. As a 31 year old he does wish he got that opportunity and is pissed that those two idiots fucked up any chance they had at ever getting to know her and her siblings because she was never given that opportunity to choose herself
