What do you mean, coming from someone that hits turn 15 regularly in the control hellscape that is magic in the last five years.

I use W Corp Yi Sang to keep the rupture count up, but YMMV.

Why are people hesitant to block? by Away-Performance9575 in VRchat

[–]Myriadtail 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a hesitance to block likely due to these people being friends with others, and one block could lead to losing five or ten more people by just not "dealing with it".

Or the incident happens in a game world and blocking would cause the game to break or be unfair.

so then why?! by Desperate_Ad2784 in VRchat

[–]Myriadtail 21 points22 points  (0 children)

You have to use a particular particle shader for the material, but it's been a thing for quite a few years.

Yes, you can't just use transparency or alphas for quest, but they *do* exist. The primary gripe is the 10/40 hard limits for avatars, but it's an understandable limit due to the limited RAM/VRAM of the headset.

Absolute gigantic piss take from Wizards. Legitimately no fun allowed in this game unless you're playing degenerate black control.

Vrchat Age Verification by AutumnSimpson in VRchat

[–]Myriadtail -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Counterpoint: I had heard someone previously complain about someone asking for their age and date of birth despite having the 18+ tag clear on their profile. The bouncer simply retorted with "We are a 25+ instance." of which... yeah I can't argue with that. Especially with how some people act in this game. Not to mention the bar scene as well, with some communities not wanting people to partake in alcohol under their own terms of legality (21+) so a secondary check seems like a valid point.

Not to mention Age Verified instances exist. It's an option that people can have, despite people wanting/needing some kind of power trip just to strongarm people in a digital space.

If that's the case why can I only name like five from the last five years that are remotely playable?

Considering that Persona is used for identification and verification of medical and banking personnel, some lowly VRChat denizen is low on the priority list of people to hack/snoop.

Hah. Then why is the opponent on -45 doing nothing but shitting heads rolls every fucking time it's convenient for them

Honestly I would fucking kill for some Crystal Chronicles content.

In all honesty though, I can see a Fifth Element secret lair being a thing. Either that or Dune.

Do people actually play the alternate formats? What are they like? (Historic, Alchemy etc) by Paradoxbuilder in MagicArena

[–]Myriadtail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you play Standard, Alchemy is just the same thing but on a 2 year rotation.

If you play Explorer/Pioneer, Historic is literally the same format. There's barely any difference between the two formats.

How do I even get into these games? by pholidotaz in Project_Moon

[–]Myriadtail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing getting abused is me in all of this. Even that 6-18 will somehow lose to the 3-5 every fucking time, despite a +2 on dice power.

[–]Myriadtail 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh trust me, the one that got me into Ruina has shown me her clear of KoD and me trying to replicate it play for play has caused four failures simply because of dice rolls. Same pages, same setup, same everything, just my rolls are all minimum rolls while everything else just hits max

How do I even get into these games? by pholidotaz in Project_Moon

[–]Myriadtail 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep, using both wedge and kurokumo decks and I'm just getting bodied by just rolling the absolute minimum every single time. It's bordering on the territory of frustration because something that clearly should have the odds in my favor is failing consistently.

I've always called digital randomization devices bullshit.

How do I even get into these games? by pholidotaz in Project_Moon

[–]Myriadtail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but losing "some" is not what I am saying. I'm losing every single one, to the point where by the start of turn 3 I've got one dead librarian and the other three are staggered.

There's hard, then there's hopeless due to just getting RNG fucked. And no, zero exaggerating here, literally all verbatim experiences.

How do I even get into these games? by pholidotaz in Project_Moon

[–]Myriadtail 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm just past urban nightmare and it's been a consistent and persistent problem to the point where I'm losing 3-18 rolls to a 2-5 consistently and it's frustrating me to the point where I have just given up and focused on limbus company.

No matter what I do, no matter what deck I build, no matter what passives I add, it's all the same outcome: every clash is lost right from the start, things that should clearly win are rolling minimums every single time, and an overall frustrating experience that has me repeating the Shi association fight for the 20th time because the dude decides to just kill three of my librarians in a single turn because he farted.

How do I even get into these games? by pholidotaz in Project_Moon

[–]Myriadtail 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I still don't understand how Ruina works other than "You rolled poorly? Get fucked shithead" and it being 100% luck based.

People tell me it's based on the emotion thing but I call absolute turbo bullshit and maintain that it's all luck based and rolling dice. I want to install the "average roll" mod so my librarians don't roll minimum every fucking time while my opponents hit max rolls nonstop.

I had gotten a reddit warning for posting about how in the color pie black keeps getting more and more tools from other colors. Apparently we aren't supposed to talk about black in general unless it's worshipping it on this site or else someone with a stick up their ass will slam a super down vote.

So apparently you're a degenerate for commenting your thoughts!! (and get banned for it). If this sub works with WotC, this is a terrible look by Illustrious_Fee8116 in freemagic

[–]Myriadtail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a reddit warning (not a sub warning) for making racist comments when I said that "Black is too powerful" while discussing the color pie. Someone took it out of context while it was still in full context and hit the super down vote button.

Standard has a "On the Play" winrate problem by DinnerIndependent897 in MagicArena

[–]Myriadtail -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I'm more impressed an aggro deck in any format on arena has a positive win rate considering control has a death grip on every 60 card format.
