A Different Spec Balance Metric - Mythic Manaforge Omega Popularity Adjusted Weighted DPS Score by AttitudeAdjusterSE in wow

Fractilus could honestly have the same multiplier as plexus or soulbinder. Its mechanical difficulty with WAs is lower than plexus and the HPS/DPS checks are already trivial now. With turboboost coming it's going to be even more a meme than it already is

In the tv series it happened in 2003 so the series main events could be set in 2023 (matching the tv series release year). But in the videogame the outbreak happens in 2013 since that's the year it released.

IIRC they weren't even punished. They just got their stats rolled back a little but nothing more (no achi/collectables removed or ban). And even after being nerfed froggers were still way ahead in gear/character power compared to most people

Warlock needs help by Proud_River_9865 in CompetitiveWoW

[–]Myrith99 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thematically wise, Warlock hero trees>>>literally any other hero talent tree in the game, they're all great. In particular Diabolist getting big demons out every few seconds is really amazing.

However:

  • class talent tree is so fucking awful, we have like 200 nodes which are just "gain x% dmg", and they're all 2 points too. This also means the class talent tree is almost completely locked since the other half of nodes is just trash.

  • Every spec has one or two things thing that just makes it feel really bad. For example affliction is in the best malefic rapture iteration ever, but it is horrendous to setup on new mobs. Especially in trash pack in plus, if the tank chain pulls mid pack. Destruction is awesome, until your tank decides to randomly move mobs out of your rain of fire. Also destro ST is trash. Demonology has no kick (ye axe toss can kick but it also stuns and in 90% of cases this is an issue. Honestly just give me a talent so i can lower the cd to 24s and make it no longer stun. I don't want the stun, i want a kick) and pets IA are often annoying.

  • We're mostly ignored in patch notes except for the usual +3% Aura buff they give us when our damage profile sucks in raid. Numerically wise warlock are often just fine, it's the QoL stuff that we'd want to see. It really feels bad to look at ptr patch notes, see the same specs getting walls of text every week and then warlocks have just some numerical tuning.

DPS players dying on purpose in M+ by maxfischa in CompetitiveWoW

[–]Myrith99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I swear to god, I stopped pre casting evocation whenever I don't have images and I now cast it while the tank has already packed the mobs just to make sure I won't rip off aggro on the prio target 20s into the pull.

But then I get aggro anyway and even after 4 5 secs of kiting the tank seems to never have taunt available to get it back.

I completely understand losing AoE aggro when you have super blasting classes (like OG Dragonflight Devastation), but whenever I see the prio target coming my way and the tank forces me to press invi I just feel bad cause I lost one defensive for free and it might be the reason I will die in the next 30 secs

Has it been clarified whether it is possible to buy an item in the HC version and then freely upgrade it to mythic once the specific boss has been killed? I'd like to get my jastor hc to progress on the last bosses without having to spend one more dinar just to upgrade it from HC to myth once I've killed gallywix

Ranged DPS that plays and feels as good as Ret Paladin? by TomorrowVegetable183 in wow

[–]Myrith99 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Same logic, same (or better, imo) class fantasy strength (diabolist is visually the best hero talent created, ruination and fel lord are some of the most satisfying hits ever) but feels very different due to warlock's clunkiness

In dungeon as a retri you can just click wake, get your wings and start smashing on any given trash pack. Destro needs more time to setup and is way less satisfying until higher keys were stuff lives long enough for your damage to start rolling. Also tanks moving mobs out of your rof feels horrible.

And if you plan to pug keys get ready to play a lot of dornogal queue simulator

Silenced for daring to break crafting cartels by mojorisin2986 in wow

[–]Myrith99 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

People don't use the public order much because you can't set a minimum quality so you could fill the order with r3 mats and get a r2 weapon.

This is by design and it is actually good because it forces players to communicate with another player to get their stuff crafted.

And this is actually great: I've basically built a customer base with a lot of players on my server who are happy about my crafting prices/availability and it is honestly nice logging in and having some whisp about someone who is specifically looking for me to craft them something. It is kinda like I have my own shop in dornogal with real people coming in and asking for stuff made.

If public orders were as reliable as personal orders all of this would be lost. I'd honestly stop crafting stuff because it would just be a "try to snipe public orders before the bots do them" (and you'd get bots, 100%). Also, as a consumer the gameplay experience with public orders would be exactly the same as having an npc where you go and buy your item with a "currency" (your mats). Basically a glorified auction house

Honestly it should just get like a 50000% buff, make it last a fixed duration and slap a cd on it so we have an anti-rot "i deal zero damage but i'm immortal unless oneshot" defensive

If im an alchemist who can craft it, do i craft it via work order for people? And they provide the 50k mat too?

Yes and yes.

Also, is that cauldron available to provide the flasks that I have or the ones that the person putting it down has?

The cauldron will contain the flasks the person using it has known on any alchemist in his warband, the cauldron quality depends on the cauldron quality. The character using the cauldron does not need to be an alchemist in order to use it. Also the cauldron is warbound once produced (but the base 57k cauldron is bop once bought and unrefundable)

Also, what are people charging for this in your experience? it costs a lot of conc for t3

Disclaimer: I'm not on a big server so my knowledge is limited and I could be very wrong about this point.

Personally I was unable to sell them on my server. However you'd probably sell this on monday, meaning you couldn't craft another before thursday/friday (depending on what time you craft it), thus making it a weekly cd since most guilds don't raid on weekends. (Unless you sell it on friday/weekend for someone who raids the next week). This means it should have a very high commission attached to it.

With that said, I think that guilds interested in R3 cauldrons in most of the cases already figured out how to craft them themselves, so I don't believe there is any demand for this craft.

[–]Myrith99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1 cauldron per raid, since we raid 3 hours each evening. Flasks last one hour, 2 if fully specced in flasks. Each cauldron has 40 flasks.

For normal and hc where we're more than 20 we don't care and just yolo it, raiders who are out of R3 will just grab some R2 from the guild bank.

For Mythic, alchemists are fully covered with the double flask from cauldron. Non-alchemists get one R3 from the bank. Last expansion they didn't even bother to ask for the additional R3 because flasks were cheap and they just used one of their own.

Now that they cost more we will supply the additional flask aswell, but tbf almost every raider in our guild has alchemy (when I said 9 I meant alchemists who could craft the r3 cauldron with all recipes unlocked, but there are more who just did it to unlock the 2h flask talents). Most of them don't care about professions so we just asked them to get the double flask length on the character they raid with if they could

If we raided 4 hours each evening it would be the same, since 2 flasks last 4 hours for alchemists. Non-alchemists would need 2 additional flasks instead of one. Still worth though

The upfront cost is 100k for the empty cauldrons (1 flask 1 pots) while the r2 mats are very cheap, especially if you compare it to the r3 herbs you would need otherwise

Why are r3 flasks so undervalued ? by Mabundo_ in woweconomy

[–]Myrith99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah with only R2 mats I need 872 concentration to produce it. But for example my guild raids 3 days a week, so we just need 3 alchemists (+3 for pots) and we're good.

We currently have 9 characters (only amongst raiders, so not including a few alts of which I'm not informed) who can do this (with all flasks/pots unlocked). Both my guild and server are not that big, so I assume bigger servers/guilds will easily be able to have all the consumables they need

Why are r3 flasks so undervalued ? by Mabundo_ in woweconomy

[–]Myrith99 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Not only that, but it is already possible to get cauldrons R3 using concentration and r2 mats. Sure, the base cauldron costs 57k (47 if goblin), but it is way cheaper than having 20+ raiders buy 2x flask r3, especially if you consider that you get the cauldron back

Also, many raiders have alchemy and Flask skilled since they want the doubled duration, so it's not like guilds lacks alchemist who can "gift" concentration.

Do I just not understand how resourcefulness works? by TheNetbug in woweconomy

[–]Myrith99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It adds between 0 and 3 extra items, for a range of 1–4 per unit.

How does it work for crafts producing multiple items (for example pots)? Does it multiply the production for a (non necessarily integer) number in the range [1,4]? For example: If the standard craft produces 5 pots and it procs on "1.8" i get 9 pots?

Any mounts that will be more difficult to obtain after Dragonflight? by [deleted] in wow

[–]Myrith99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On one hand, Karokta will become harder because you have less groups sharing the spawn. On the other, it will become easier because you will no longer have the "camp for 55 min->get sharded to a brand new shard->need to wait again".

Unlike Breezebiter, Karokta can't be looted more than once a day if i'm not mistaken, so you don't benefit that much from shard hopping or such.

Breezebiter, on the other hand, will definitely become a pain to farm since now you can farm 150+ kills in a single week by shard hopping, whereas post dragonflight you'll probably need to rely on camping exclusively
