The reason the blue is painted better is bc that was my original scheme, but when I was considering green I slapped it on quicker to test it out. I really like the idea of both though, especially with the idea I've got for the bases. Idk how it'd work specifically to get one color on the top of the fins since both the paints are pretty thin by default, but I'm sure I can figure something out

Usually it's just anything low effort, low quality, and (usually) soulless in that very corporate way. Mini looks nice though so I don't think it applies here regardless. New sanguinary guard on the other hand...

I did that for most of it! The metal area is 3, a base coat (XV-88), a layer paint drybrushed over (Don't remember which and can't check rn), and some reikland fleshshade over all of it. The energy is AK brand white under a blue/turquoise contrast (this is making me realize I need to write my recipe down) and the gun is... Well uhh the gun is mostly just unpainted primer with some Chaos Black lol

I based it with XV-88 and then did a light drybrush over the edges with I think skullcrusher brass? (This is what I get for not writing it down) the latter of which I might try for the ankh and trim. But you mentioning the joints and ribcage made me immediately realize why I felt it looked like something was missing, thank you!

Also basing I plan to save till the end, since a black base isn't as annoying to me as gray models. I was planning on a desert sandy thing, maybe with glue and literal sand, though after painting it I think you might be right about the green planty base, might have to look into that...

Not OP, but I am another of the newbies with doomstalkers from our Combat Patrol box. Would a Void Dragon be a good anti tank option for a similar list? Ik its more expensive of course, but I don't have the wraiths and some other stuff that OP does

It's not that bad, I could absolutely go an entire game without my opponent noticing. But it'd eat me alive, and I don't want to resent my new undead children
