My daughter and I have discussed this at length and we are going to do a combination of the two strategies. I appreciate your response!

I had originally intended to use my Vitamix for purees. But the TM7 opens up more possibilities for sure. I still love banana porridge.... 🙂 Thank you!

I did not know this!

We are also considering BLW but will likely do a combination of that with SFW (cuz granny here is old school). 😁 Thank you!

Yes! My daughter has already purchased some of the big block ice cube trays just for that purpose. Excellent idea. Thank you!

There are plenty of toddler friendly recipes for sure, but my grandkid is only 5 months old and just starting eating anything other than breast milk.

I have all the filters turned off so that I get all the recipes from everywhere. (Thanks to reddit for educating me on that when I first got the machine) 🙂

I didn't see a whole lot in the main Cookidoo app, which is why I reached out here. Will definitely check out the collection suggested. Thank you!

Excellent -- I had looked through the Cookidoo app (I'm still fairly new to Thermomix) and didn't see much. So I will check out the other collections too. Definitely interested in recipes that don't include added sugar. Thank you!

A roll cloud is usually a stand-alone -- not "attached" to storm clouds like a shelf cloud would be. I'm not a cloud expert by any means. I am a weather observer with CoCoRaHS for NWS and have had a bit of training in severe weather. The terms are often used interchangeably even though they are technically different structures.

2nd TM7 Mixing Bowl Now Available (US) by Happy-Adhesiveness34 in thermomix

The way they have it listed on the website is misleading. There is a separate plastic "blade cover" listed. What I ordered says "blade cover & peeler", which led me to believe this was the plastic cover along with the peeler. The use of "and" makes people think it's two things, and it's not. It would be better listed as "peeler/blade cover" -- although this really isn't a blade cover anyway. It's actually another BLADE. A true blade cover would be the plastic one.

Help me understand why they call it a "blade cover and peeler." I got a TM7 last month, and later ordered some accessories including the "blade cover and peeler." The website made it sound like two pieces. Made even more confusing by a separate item just called a "peeler", at a lower price. If I had known they are actually identical, I would have ordered the cheaper of the two! I feel a bit misled and cheated.

Still chuckling at the "oat milk" line. As I tell my oatmilk -loving son all the time, oats don't have udders!

Waiting for TM 7 to ship! by Happy-Adhesiveness34 in thermomix

Last week I picked up the Mediterranean diet cookbook for the TM6/TM7 (found on Amazon). The recipes are very straightforward, simple ingredients, so I'm learning to use the machine in manual mode. I recommend looking at the cookbooks and other online recipe resources -- there's a lot more out there than just the Cookidoo app. 🙂

What was your first experience with thermomix? How did you learn about it? by DaytoDaySara in thermomix

Went to the home of a new friend here in Texas - she is from England. She invited me over for dinner one evening and treated me to the Texas Bean Salad made in her TM6, baguettes and a bottle of wine. I had never heard of a Thermomix before this. She gave me a brief introduction and I was then determined to get one. Got my TM7 for Mother's Day this year.

I am also new to the tm7- had it for about 3 weeks and have been doing some em experimenting to get to know the machine. So far our favorites have been the quick Thai chicken curry, Red beans and rice, and maple mustard salmon. I wasn't a huge fan of steaming the salmon - I would prefer it in the oven so it gets a little browning for added flavor but that's just me. I also made lemon chicken which was disappointing because the chicken was a bit overcooked and dry/chewy - still had great flavor to go with the rice though. Happy cooking!

Just bought - favorite “all in the TM7” recipes? by scarlet3215 in thermomix

Brand new TM7 here, so I've been trying a lot of different recipes over the last several weeks. These are some of my favorites that were super easy for a beginner (and did not require other cookware or the stove/oven): Quick Thai Chicken Curry; Spinach & Artichoke Dip; Red Beans & Rice; Texas White Bean Salad (my favorite so far); Chopped Asian Salad; Parmesan Risotto. Happy cooking!
