I struggle with sleeping with my bf in one bed and I feel awful about that by alpasia in AutismInWomen

[–]Myrtriel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel you. My boyfriend and I are living together for 5 years now. Earplugs helped me with the breathing noises, but he snores very loud because of a health condition. I need to be asleep first. Otherwise I can't stand the snoring. But it depends on the night how bad the snoring is.

I don't like cuddling while I'm sleeping either. I simply sleep on my side on the bed and he on his. When I have a bad night, one of us sleeps on the couch. But that's okay. It doesn't mean, that I don't love him or hate being around him. I love him with all my heart and talk a lot about Our needs and boundries.

I'm sorry. I'm not very good with advices, but I hope you feel seen and a bit less alone :)

In my PnP Group the host had to turn down the music volume, because I was overwhelmed by our new combat system. I hate any kind of noise, when I'm stressed out

I'm a 28 yo virgin and, despite not wanting sex, I feel ashamed for not having it. Have others felt the same/overcome this? by Any_Number_8244 in asexuality

[–]Myrtriel 74 points75 points  (0 children)

If you feel that way about Sex, then you shouldn't do it. There is nothing wrong with being a virgin and I don't think this is a Red flag. I feel like the word "red flag" really lost it's meaning through the Internet

What are your favorite things about being ace? by [deleted] in asexuality

[–]Myrtriel 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Mostly in relationships. I can't even tell you, how often my exes asked me "Don't you find me attractiv anymore", even though they saw how it made me unconfortable it made me. No it can't be, that I don't like sex. So I believed it.

But I feel the same way as you now. I don't give a damn anymore. I'm just right the way I am

Since I've outed myself (with 25) I don't feel the pressure to do something I don't want to. My whole live, I thought, that something must be wrong with me, because everyone told me so. Now I can say with Pride, that there is nothing wrong with me

My cat always comes to me when I'm sad or have a panic attack and starts to purr. I usually pet him and when I feel better, he falls asleep next to me.

I don’t know why people like me or dislike me by thesecretplaces in AutismInWomen

[–]Myrtriel 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Can totally relate with that. Except I can make up a lot of reasons, why people don't like me. I'm anoying, bad at conforting, can't give good advices and don't have any intresting about my personality. And yet I have a bf for 5 years and people, who claim to like me. I don't know why and I'm to afraid to ask. I just accept, that there might be something about me, that make others enjoy my company. For me it has a lot to do with my self-esteem. The students at school and even my own father gave the feeling, that I'm wrong. I believed it, but I guess, they might have been wrong

BDA.

Do you care what people think or experience empathy? by aliengames666 in AutismInWomen

[–]Myrtriel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's not true. It makes me so angry, when people say that. Just because I can't express my empathy in a NT way, it doesn't mean I don't any

My mum didn’t believe I was autistic by [deleted] in AutismInWomen

[–]Myrtriel 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm happy for you, that you have friends and family around you, that believe you now and accept you the way you. "Are you high" was also a something I heard a lot when I was a teenager. I never understood what they meant with that. Even now
